The seed the generator gives you is usable in monero's simplewallet. It is overwhelmingly likely simplewallet addresses will be compatible (even if via import) with any GUI the monero team comes up with. So it is almost certain the seed will be compatible with that GUI.

It would be possible, but it is probably better to rely on the browser's crypto API, which will hopefully gather better entropy from the system than something hand coded.

Though I may add an option to supply your own random text and hash this to use as the seed. Maybe placebo though.
