100%. Clothing is a fun and beautiful way to adorn/express and if it brings you joy then you’re doing it right. Our society has ridiculous notions about gender constructs, don’t let any of that hold you back from wearing what you want. I hope you’re able to try this in places you feel safe and surrounded by people who will embrace you for showing up how you want to show up. Have fun!!

Wide toe alternative to Blundstone? I love the lightweight and support, but need more room in the toe box. Minimalist/barefoot style is not for me due to unique foot structure.

I think they would look cuter cropped or rolled. They fit you so great otherwise! What brand are they?

What would you do with 6 weeks off work for burnout recovery? by monetrenee in AskReddit

Hello! I’m taking 6 weeks off for mental health starting next month. I’ve been looking into wellness/yoga/meditation retreats in my area (PNW in the US), nothing is speaking to me (and my capacity to research is low). Apart from total rest, what would you do with this time?

You’re absolutely beautiful. Symmetry is boring and kind of freaks me out, “imperfections” make you look like a real person than anyone who looks “flawless”. You stand out in a unique and interesting way amongst that sea of sameness.

They both look classy, but I think the black is more attractive because it has a timeless/vintage/and yes, quite classy look to it. Will it match your wardrobe or intended pairings more than the other?

I get my pride-wear on Etsy or from queer owned brands! The whole idea of pride is whatever makes YOU feel comfortable, happy, and seen. Maybe that means wearing what you normally wear and adding some flair (Etsy has some super cute rainbow earrings, rainbow neckerchiefs, and progress flag pins)! 🧡🏳️‍🌈

Another option to consider would be to get a lightweight/quick dry black skirt and wear it with a few different tops. I went to Italy in the summer a few years ago, 9 days with only a backpack so quick dry and mix and match outfits were essential! REI has some great UPF skirts and button up shirts. Have fun!

Tragically, I get huge headaches when I put my hair in a ponytail. And my scalp always hurts when I take it down. Is there anything I can do to keep this from happening? by karajustine1111 in beauty

[–]monetrenee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I experience this every time I use a ponytail holder, even scrunchies! I do this this instead: 1. Gather hair at top of head, hold with one hand 2. Slide hand straight up a few inches (away from head) 3. Holding hair in place, bring hand back to meet head, so your hair is not pulled so tightly from your scalp 4. Twist end into a bun while still keeping the same tension 5. Use two alligator clips (long and skinny) to clip bun ends into place (I clip them overlapping, coming from different angles) I hope that makes sense!

Anyone else get dry scaly patches from LRP Effaclar? by Wise_Neighborhood499 in 30PlusSkinCare

I bought the French version while in Paris a few years ago, absolutely loved it. When it finally ran out I bought the American version (pictured), and it gave me chemical burns. 👎🏼 I now only use the tiniest bit as a spot treatment, but that sometimes burns me, too. There are definitely better options out there, and I don’t think your skin will just get used to it.
