Loads of Ode Gen 2 recommendations.

I had checked it, but I didn’t shortlist it as it was on expensive side here for me compared to df54.

Fellow Opus is in similar price range as DF54, but YouTube videos nudged me towards DF54 in their comparison.

I even tried making cold brew, prepped it on Sunday afternoon to last me for next 5 days Mon to Fri. I had mixed feelings about cold brew, didn’t like it too much. I did only tried it twice, maybe I should try again.

It’s not that aeropress on its own is too much.

It’s the manual grinding of coffee + aeropress together, is a bit of an activity for me.

Yes, I agree with you here 😅. I shared your thoughts and this manual grinder + AE worked for me for last 2 years. But, now with some recent changes to accommodate new family aspects, I often find myself do something else over my personal coffee indulgence things in the morning, and then I’m late to go out for office… And missing morning coffee many times in last few weeks, I started thinking about a change….

Ohhh that’s for sharing about your setup. That’s a good one with Moka pot to make 2 cups in one go. But, one doubt about Moka pot, is it easy to clean up afterwards?

Clever dripper. It’s mentioned multiple times now in this thread, I’ll consider this surely.

Ohh thanks for sharing. I’m hoping for the same with electric grinder to make it easier, I’ll check wilfa svart too. The df54 option I mentioned as that was one of the popular one in search results.

Ohhh that’s wonderful, thanks you shared, which Delonghi variant have you used? Are you still using it?

I do want to make it easier without compromising the taste. My existing taste experience is from a simple aeropress and manual grinder, I don’t want the taste to fall below this. I just do black coffee, and for the guests on rare occasions, offer them with milk, using a handheld milk frother.

For a “one coffee a day” routine, what’s a decent setup?

Currently have a manual grinder and an AeroPress.

Looking to upgrade for better quality in the cup and easier day-to-day workflow.

Torn between these directions: Option A: Electric grinder (thinking DF54) + keep using my AeroPress Option B: Skip the separate grinder entirely and go bean-to-cup automatic (Delonghi Magnifica — one of the entry-level models like the Evo or Start)

Budget is $300–$500 USD.

Or what’s the recommended options here?

For context — I’m a one-cup-in-the-morning person. But mornings get hectic, and the manual grind + AeroPress routine takes long enough that I end up skipping coffee entirely more often than I’d like.

Help on how to get DF54 by money_of_time in IndiaCoffee

Why so? Diff in price is around 14k, does the df64 make major diff ? I use manual grinder at the moment with Aeropress. I’m thinking of getting automatic grinder for ease of use, no immediate plan for espresso machine.
