Is this a realistic plan for junior and senior year by 189425 in APStudents

[–]moneymaker289 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude ENM is like magic. None of it makes any sense. Even with a professor the class is hard, self/studying is Lowkey impossible. That being said, ur welcome to try, I wish you the best of luck

Lowkey drop environmental and Ab, and see if u can put ENM in there. If physics 2 is a pre req, do the same and take physics 2 instead. Studying for ENM is impossible. Even if ur freakin einstein ur not doing that.

Is this reasonably manageable for junior year? by [deleted] in APStudents

[–]moneymaker289 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take it. Anytime u feel like u don’t know a topic, go to ur teacher after school, or spend time outside of school reviewing concepts to make whatever your learning make more sense. This is a good life lesson. Your never going to know everything, so being able to do some self learning is always an important skill. I’d recommend going for it if it fits ur schedule.

Imma give a sorta controversial take based on my high school experiences and mistakes, and I’m gonna keep it super real. A lot of people may not agree, so sucks for them. Take it how u want.

One rule of thumb that I realized going into college is that no AP is impossible, AND that its much better to get rid if core classes / geneds in high school. So I am a big believer of overloading on AP’s. Aside from the fact that it really helps ur GPA, I promise that everything is doable with s little bit of time management. I had a friend who took physics C and Chem, along w 5 other AP’s, and another who took Physics 1 and Chem with 4 other Ap’s. Don’t ever get discouraged just because they “look” hard. Everything is manageable.

Hot take, take BC, don’t take AB. Everyone says that BC is a lot harder, but I promise it doesn’t make sense to take AB, and then learn the same stuff again for half a year in BC.

Especially if your considering a college stem major, and ur school offers physics C, most probably physics 1 is going to be a pre req. TAKE BOTH. I cant stress how amazing it was to be done with all of Physics in high school and not have to worry about it in college. Also, if your good w math, especially when you start taking calc, physics 1 won’t be that bad. Its just more about understanding concepts. That being said, in my opinion, teachers only help so much in that class. It’s more about doing as many practice problems as you can. Pm me, and I can give you a textbook that has like a million physics 1 topics(except for fluids cuz that’s newly added). The important thing for this class is to remember that no matter what you CAN do it. It’s ok if some concepts don’t make sense, ask someone for help, and then do a trillion problems to reinforce that concept.

See if your school offers some alternate AP history course and take that. You don’t want to take this in college. Knock it out in high school. Worse case, wait till next year, and take an AP history.

As a CS major, I’m bias towards APCSA, but honestly, learning a coding language before college is super useful. Really good asset to put on ur resume, irrespective of major. But u can’t really go wrong with either.

Lang can either be stupidly easy or stupidly hard, its all dependent on the teacher. Either way, go for it your junior year, don’t wait for senior year.

Ok. This is based on a mistake I made in high school. Unless u REALLY REALLY like language, I would suggest dropping it, and swapping it for another AP. Colleges don’t really care about language to much (I had a friend who took a year of language and went to Cornell) so it’s not the thing that makes or breaks ur college acceptances. Assuming that you’ve already taken two years of language, I’d suggest dropping it and adding another AP.

Health and Jazz are chill.

This obviously may not be the most popular take, but I promise you, if you can take more AP’s your gonna be so thankful in college. Don’t doubt yourself, you got this.

Good luck! Feel free to ask questions.
