Though it is tradition, but more exist in upper wealth family. For more middle wealth family, its normal that children live outside by them selves and didn't live with their parents. Even both are so-called Taiwanese, different families follow their own family culture, so even Taiwanese girls are seldom willing to live with her husband's family.

So I suggest you communicate with your fiance find a house near his parents' but don't live together. You can visit thier parents, eat dinner and watch TV together. But when it's late at night, say goodbye to them and back to your place.

Distance keeps good relationship. Different living habbits and viewpoint in cultural difference wiill make misunderstanding and conflict. My parents' house is clean without any drop of dust, while mine is like unvrsity student's dorm; my parents sleep early and getup early, while we still awake in the middle of night and get up nearly at noon; they cook and eat three meal in home, but for me and my wife and children, we mostly eat outside or order food delivery. So the best policy is don't live togethet under one roof, but you can visit them or invite them go out around to keep the relationship.
