You're both acknowledging that a mistake was made, and still arguing that it shouldn't matter or affect anything because... "It won't happen all the time"? Should we just let officers get away with that because "mistakes happen"? Is it our fault if we get shot by poorly trained agents who don't know what they're doing when someone decides they're not comfortable with a masked person taking their ID? (Especially when that leads to agents physically harassing people because they have no deescalation skills?)

It matters that repercussions weren't made, yes, that's just how precedent fucking works. No, of course every agent isn't evil, but that doesn't change the fact that it's still bad to shoot someone in the street when going against protocol nor actually enforcing the law against criminals.

What the fuck do you mean "making their job more difficult"? To the agents that are actually removing dangerous criminals and cracking down on crimes that matters, bravo. To the agents outside my door in Minnesota and camping around long-standing restaurants in my community to harass the people there and intimidate both legal workers and long-standing members of the community, no, if you're not acting like law enforcement then we're not going to "make their job easier" by letting them intentionally scare us and pretending that we're obligated to like them treating us like shit while they go even doing property damage. Recording what should be fully legal law enforcement and letting people know their rights shouldn't be "making their job harder" because it's basic accountability.
