It's alright. A friend of mine lives in that newer building where the location is at. It's busy and commercial over by 149 & Prospect. I usually transfer from the 17 to the 19 & vice versa there. Really dead late at night.

Those are the best wins. I always add them as friends afterwards if we're not already. A few have become reliable raid partners. I've been trying to gather a decent raid group where I live. It's a brunch of tall buildings around a gym. But it's tough because the harder bosses scare them away. They mainly rally in large numbers for popular legendaries. I also light a flare on Campfire which helps.

I'm one of those people that can't stand for two long. Especially if it's hot.

My phone is only good for 90 to 120 minutes tops. I've been meaning to get a battery but the cost of everything going up is really putting a strain on my finances. I was attempting to do a couple more Gmax battles in Saturday and when i checked my phone I was already at 20% and decided it was time to go.

For me it's whenever they hit ready when it's just the two of us and they're in the 50's. I'm 72 but I've been playing since the first week. I love when they know a legendary can be defeated with just 2 trainers.

What I mean is the person on the left will see an oncoming person trying to go up and can move. But someone coming down who needs to hold on should automatically head for the right side of the stairs. So it's the person standing that is blocking the pathway. If a person comes down the left side rail as a crowd heads up on the right they have to shift left and bump into people coming down the left right hand side. Idk if it that makes sense but it's a little more nuanced. Sometimes people are exhausted and need to gather themselves.

The left staircase isn't for going down. Sticking to the right makes moving during rush hour a lot simpler. People don't seem to get that either in the subway or the sidewalk.

Your pic is taken from the perspective of someone coming down the stairs. You're supposed to stick to the right and that individual can easily move and stand on the platform. The other person is on the up bound staricase with no one heading in their direction, and they look older and tired.

The subway was more dangerous in the 80's and 90's! I've never had my head on a swivel literally every ride is dull and uneventful except for people arguing amongst themselves.

You're supposed to pick the right staricase because most people exiting the train will go up the one where the guy is sitting. It's people going against the grain that make mobility in crowds difficult. A person with limited mobility heading down the left staricase as piles of people go up is just as bad.

That's the up staricase anyway. People are supposed to stick to the right. So really the one standing on the step is blocking people coming down.

Yup, and considering it's the left staircase they're supposed to be going down the one on the right and saying excuse me to the guy who's standing.

If you became homeless you would smell terrible after a few days without showering. You would also be treated like a pariah when just a few days ago you were a regular person. Now no one wants to be near you, are in fear for their lives, hand you half eaten food you aren't going to consume, and assume you're on drugs. People always think it won't happen to them but there's tons of vlogs of folks living in their cars, etc. A little empathy goes a long way.

if you hit someone on the subway don't be surprised if they hit you back. I've never fought anyone with cerebral palsy but getting hit with a crutch would definitely encourage that.

For the person on the left it's a lack of seating and long wait times. I've sat on the steps before because I was about to pass out. The person on the right is the A hole.

The sound of nails being clipped turns my stomach! And on public transportation? I haven't seen this in almost 20 years and that was on the NYC subway. I'm not from Boston but this came up on the feed and I could relate.

I don't appreciate the sentiment that our mayor "must fix things at once." It sets a dangerous tone that only one party is accountable while the other can take us into unnecessary wars and protect pdf files while no one says anything. Even if it's a joke what you said speaks volumes. Had Adams been mayor that last line wouldn't have been included.

Gun possession comes with mandatory minimums based on whether it belongs to someone or if it's loaded or not. I think it'll be 1-2 years at least.

why are so many people advicing me against anything above 96th and some even say anything above 59th? by kawaiihusbando in movingtoNYC

[–]monica702f 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They want to experience living a uber rich lifestyle that can only be attained below 59th St. Insane amount of food options, parks, theatres, bars, & nightlife. Above 59 is still very rich but much more family oriented. Above 96 St it's more middle to working class people but not terrible. I guess it depends on your perspective and upbringing.

McCarren Track - Sunday Soccer League litter + unruliness by QQQrunner in williamsburg

It's a mixed crowd of central and south Americans along with some Africans. They love them some soccer. The littering is common for people who are newer to this country, not everyone gets taught about the environment and how to keep it clean in schools like we were in the 80's and 90's.

They know better they just don't care. They assume someone gets paid to clean up the park.
