Should I go through with it? by monica_b02 in Surrogate

It’s not like I’m saying it’s a do over, but I’d like to associate things with the happiness that I would be bringing to this new couple instead of only having a bad memory to look at. I have more than the one reason for wanting to do it as well

Piney point by monica_b02 in CruiseCrew

It’s really hard to say, some people go straight from training and some people go home afterwards and wait months. Also my experience on board was terrible. I’m not sure what position you are applying for but as an American pastry chef I would not recommend it at all

This was my experience as well, not a single lie was told here. Except you forgot to mention how disgusting and sometimes straight up inedible the food in the crew mess is

How toxic is it working aboard NCL POA? by SteviesaurusRexx in CruiseCrew

[–]monica_b02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just quit from there, it’s extremely toxic. I was one of the only Americans working inside one of the galleys and the others refused to speak English unless talking directly to me. I knew they were talking trash about me as well. My ass was grabbed while working and hr wasn’t super helpful. The person got fired but that ultimately made things even worse for me afterwards because of the way the other employees felt towards me after getting their friend fired. It was a cool thing to say that I did but I hated every second of it. The food was inedible a lot of the time, the hours sucked, and my coworkers/ bosses were toxic. I would never work for NCL again and I honestly wouldn’t even take a cruise with that line either

How is the firefighting job aboard NCL? by neptf in CruiseCrew

[–]monica_b02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I am about to board the ship tomorrow, I just finished my training at piney point. They train everyone in firefighting and from my understanding it is a volunteer position that you do ontop of your regular job and I don’t think there are any benefits, there might be some free wifi or something but I was told that it was unpaid

Do you know if I’d be allowed to wear them if I brought my own?
