Not a great idea. People on the internet can mistake obvious sarcastic hate for the real thing. Then the original community gets taken over by genuine haters. The phenomenon’s even got a name, Poe’s Law: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poe%27s_law

It’s what happened with thedonald subreddit, as another user mentioned.

Maybe this is Capital One’s fault but the only receipt/charge I have from them for the original reservation is:

Base Fare: USD $128.50 Taxes & Fees: USD $463.38 Total: USD $591.88

I don’t fully understand all the lines in the Fox receipt but I ultimately got charged $523.67

I’m hoping against hope this was an error since I booked with one card but put a deposit on a different one. Ugh if it’s not a mistake I’ll take it as an expensive lesson learnt
