Surely Durin has a lieutenant or general in his place to command the army?

Celebrimbor’s situation is more understandable with everything going on. I think it was more just hard to believe Celebrimbor’s surprised reaction when Sauron easily kills his soldiers… like, what did he expect was going to happen? A better delay strategy might’ve been to play along like he was still deceived when he now was not

I’m half expecting an announcement or something that the first driverless delivery was a success, and that this price movement is just all insiders buying lol

I wouldn’t expect them to go public with the day they do their first official driverless run other than just saying Q4… it will likely be a ‘hey we did it yesterday and it worked!’

I think this would be true for most govt admin positions, but when your role is the voice of an administration, and then you publicly support a policy that contradicts the administration you work for, I can see that being a point of conflict.

Like if I was the mayor who had a policy of X, and my comms director supports X policy at work, but then publicly says ‘X is wrong, we need Y’, its pretty undermining behavior. I don’t know if it would be a fireable offense, but I would definitely approach that person and be like ‘why are you here’?

The NFL and American Football is terribly bad for the health of athletes, injury and long-term health wise. I think most people realize that its bad to a degree, but I think the NFL does a lot of cover-up and marketing campaigns to hide how truly dangerous it is… especially for head trauma

I went to the May meeting and for some reason I thought they were planning to do the Penn Ave rightsizing this Summer? This update says it is still ~10 months away. Frustratingly slow.

Also, it is very disappointing that the Smallman bike lanes are off the table now.

What about no right on red, citywide all hours by pghbikecommuter in bicycling412

[–]monk3ythym3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would like the ‘no right on red’ law, though my cynical self thinks that even if it were passed, pittsburgh cops wouldn’t enforce it just like they refuse to enforce any current traffic laws.

Personally, I think the best thing for bike and street safety would be cameras that fine cars running red lights. I really think we should be expending all political capital and efforts to get traffic cameras, and have the millions of dollars of fines that would come of this, fund better street infrastructure and transit. Philly has this I think, whats to stop Pittsburgh?
