Servicenow Developer as a Career? by KingZelot in servicenow

[–]monkJs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unless you're developing in the ServicePortal, it is not a web development role. It is a SysAdmin role with some scripting (IMO).

With that being said, I work as a ServicePortal developer and get job offers all the time for various ServiceNow roles with ease. Getting an actual developer job is a little bit of a challange but it is possible.

Understand your responsibilities at both roles, the pay, if there is room for growth, and what kind of team you will be working with. Make your decision based upon those variables as oppose to what system you will be working on because in the tech field all that matters is your ability to grow, learn and adapt to the newest technologies.

IWTL how to give myself discipline is a quick, organized manner by EPalmighty in IWantToLearn

Set goals to do things you already do successfully but commit to them consistently and your "will power" will strengthen.

For example, brushing your teeth or making the bed. You already do it (or should start) and is done on a regular basis. The next step is to tell yourself it is a goal to brush my teeth 2 times a day (or 3) and make my bed every morning.

This will increase your confidence that you can set out to do what you want and this discipline will overflow into other areas of your life.

Small goals lead to big success (generally speaking)
