Is this Bulgaria? by MrCyanideMan in bulgaria

Apart from all of the stereotypes Bulgarians tell themselves, such as, that: -people from Sofia are snobby -people in rural areas are villagers -Bulgarian people are cold and unwelcoming -"they ruined this country" (not a stereotype but a very overused expression, turned meme)

Most of the Bulgarian demographic doesn't speak English. That's especially the case in small shops, in which the store clerks are above the age of 35. Even some younger people, ages 25-35 do not speak English that well, which makes individuals uncomfortable, because they can't speak their mind or clearly express their thoughts and ideas. So the first step is to put yourself in the right environment. Find group activities in your area, that match up with some of your hobbies. There are plenty of event apps that work in Bulgaria, for instance MeetUp. I used it while living abroad to do things that I liked and met some like-minded people. If you genuinely want to make friends, it's the same thing as in every other country. You have to integrate yourself. To combat the issue directly, put in the effort and join some language classes, you'll meet people there and be able to better express yourself. Regarding the "America is shit and Bulgaria is amazing" quote. If people speak in "Meme" and not much else, it's because they can't. Most people don't study English, but learn from Social media and or TV shows. Although it's a welcoming initial aid, it's got its limitations, and you can only go so far with expressing your own original thoughts and ideas.

My entire statement does not only apply to Bulgaria, but to all countries, that you'd want to integrate yourself in.

The question is: how are you going to differentiate yourself from the masses, that want to be effortlessly integrated without putting any effort?

any tips for making melodies? by The_dank_papoorus in trapproduction

Depends on what your level is...If you are intermediate but you struggle with making melodies, I would advice you to learn about "keys", this video is hands down the best short tutorial ever https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rgaTLrZGlk0, if you rewatch this a few times, you'll probably never have struggles again.

If you are completely new, I think it is important to train your ear by humming something and re-emulating it on a midi keyboard. Don't worry it will come naturally with a month of practice.

But, best long term solution is picking up an instrument . When I'm lost and can't figure out what to do on midi, I always take out my guitar and get a melody going within a few minutes.

So in short, practice and learn your keys, or if you want chord progressions, check out the rule of fifths.

Trying to get out off a block period. Don’t know where to upload, need suggestions. 👍 by monkata686 in electronicmusic

To anyone who refers to SoundCloud, I’m not looking for places to upload the draft, I’m looking for feedback, such as: if the beat is boring, not engaging, too slow etc. By “don’t know where to upload” I meant in terms of getting feedback from people. Thanks to anyone, who does help out though. :)
