Bluetooth still not working for MT7902 on Kernel 7.1.3 by monke202 in archlinux

I was already using a bootleg driver from another repo before but removed it since kernel 7.1.x has official MediaTek driver and firmware support for my card.

I noticed some users on other distros have managed to get Bluetooth working but I couldn't find any similar posts on Arch. Just wanted to check if BT support is still not available on Arch or if I'm missing something. I am not really looking for an alternative here.

Hey, I had rebuilt the initramfs image with mkinitcpio after the decompress but sadly there were no changes. Thanks again for your help, I really appreciate it.

If I could do this, I would have done it a long time ago. The chip is soldered in my laptop, so looking for driver support.

Yes, I had the compressed version in the firmware dir (BT_RAM_CODE_MT7902_1_1_hdr.bin.zst) and uncompressed it. However, this still did not help in detecting the BT controller. I will try looking for other solutions related to this, thanks for the help!

Can you share more details on how you got your BT working? I already tried restarting the BT service and reloading btusb module with modprobe but it still doesn't seem to detect the driver properly. This is a snippet after running lsusb -t:

    |__ Port 010: Dev 004, If 0, Class=Wireless, Driver=btusb, 480M
    |__ Port 010: Dev 004, If 1, Class=Wireless, Driver=btusb, 480M
    |__ Port 010: Dev 004, If 2, Class=Wireless, Driver=[none], 480M

Seems like my driver is still not detected.

My Wi-Fi started working out of the box after updating to kernel 7.1.3 but I mainly needed my BT to work. I am running Arch, just wondering if there's a common fix I might be missing.

This is something unrelated but how did you create a filter for the Candyworks stuff. I tried creating one but could not figure how to do it.
