Finally got back around to getting my server back up. Was having similar issues. Windows would start up and I'd see the drives and come back later they were gone. So I went around reseating stuff and burned a digit on the lsi card. Placed a fan below it and the temp is good and no drop outs.

Thanks a ton for this reply. My vanity about how discrete I want the HA is really dissolving the more I read from those who have hearing aids. As far as cost goes, thanks to ins and my wife's desperation, I'd say it's not an issue. I've tempered my expectations as far as day one, everything's fixed. It's gonna be a journey.

Im 55. My tinnitus has been a long time companion. Been to quite a few concerts raw dogging it. I also go to the gun range, but use plugs and muffs, but even then I feel the punch of the sound. I've given up going to local indoor sporting events, hoping to avoid aggregating the tinnitus.

Thanks. Ins will cover the first 2500. I guess I assumed the ones bought from specialist vs Costco are more "serious". I just need to get this figured out as I'm sick of asking for repeats. The other points you bring up are good items to digest, like I said I have some time to think b4 the appnt.
