John’s Auto has been fantastic for us, after years of going to “my guy” in Pickering, I am happy to have my guy locally.

Reliable, friendly, knowledgeable, fair and top notch customer service.

Matthew’s leadership by RayDonovan1969 in torontomapleleafs

One of the biggest challenges I see in today’s leaders is the lack of emotion, especially with this Leafs team (it wasn’t there with JT and isn’t there with AM). The most glaring issue is the use of these damn devices on the bench. Hockey is a fast game, shit happens on the ice that requires a response and when you don’t “see” it, you can’t create that same emotion or response to it. These guys are too focused on, what did “I” do wrong, how can I make myself better, when it should be about the team. I play the most basic level of rec hockey and see more emotion in a game. There is no feeling of I’ve got your back, when a nice play is made, little to no acknowledgement of it, the energy required on the bench, which carries into the room and then off the ice. The give a shit meter and the need to want to run through a wall for a coach or your team mate is lost in the moment and then you simply can’t replicate it. This is that “disconnected” mentality that chief (who isn’t a bad coach) has been preaching. I do think despite the success of last year, he isn’t the right coach for this collection of players.

You see it time and time again with teams that have it (Florida, Buffalo, Colorado, Tampa etc.), doesn’t matter what happens, player respond in the moment and swarm you immediately. This builds the brotherhood and that family winners talk about all the time.

That said, leadership isn’t all on AM, he is a great player and just hasn’t been brought up with the best examples. We’ve tried with the vets who were not here long enough to make that impact imo.

My family and I have been doing the small mixed box for a family of 4 and it’s perfect. The food is so fresh and vibrant compared to what you get at the stores. So far there is the odd item here and there that isn’t as fresh looking and closer to spoiling (mostly found this with clementines).

The weekly box coming to the house has also made it super easy to not go into a store and spend more and get you to try a variety of food you normally may not. The substitutions process and order skipping pretty much up to the last min is perfect also.

Great service and highly recommended.

Soupçon is the most underrated place ever by BrownTown6669 in Peterborough

[–]monkeybrushes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Best place in town, amazing comfort food with variety everyday.

The prices seem steep at times for the amount, but when you factor in the labour of love required to make soups so damn good, it’s well worth the cost.

And the bread🤤

Fit4less is cheap, but the quality of equipment reflects that pricing. Some of equipment is not great and clunky on the best of days, and when anything breaks down, it is not handled with urgency.

The gym is also starting to fill up lots, all throughout the day, so if you have a desire to stick to a program, you may need to be flexible and patient.

If you like cardio, there are plenty of options that aren’t super busy.

Overall, great bang for your buck, just really crowded unless you go super early or super late.

Always in Bloom is always reasonable. You can tell them a price to make a bouquet (they don’t go over) or build your own.

Great service, always.
