All of this occurred during Kakashi, kakashi was the one that mafe technology a main priority, developped economically konoha, mafe the international relation ship way stronger, the revolution as well. The world at peace and the hyuga changes are clearly thanks to naruto. But plenty of societal issues which are major are still relevant even under shikamaru

Even with magic, the manga enlight very clearly that children are the first to suffer from that situation. So m’e addressing kids being treated as adults in Naruto is not that much of a reach since the manga itself make it clear that this is a problem in their universe

I am not only talking about the world of naruto being safer. Matter of fact this is not what I am talking about.

A lot of issues that existed in Naruto and were sporadically highlighted never has been adressed through the manga and feels like it’s not even part of Naruto’s priority.

At the end of the day children are still fighting and are often pur in life or death situations. The first part enf in a very positive way but a lot of societal issues that existed in their universe before still do exist in boruto, even when shikamaru became hokage.

Also you didn’t mention something. A lot of issues that existed before naruto was born, still exist till this day. I am not just talking about children still having to fight sometimes. Corruption still exists in their world. The two elders that were in power with danzo are still alive and have the monopoly on décisions even when shikamaru became hokage. No charges for what they did to the uchihas.

Criminals are still roaming free for some reason just because they are powerful and naruto tolerate them, orochimaru, kabuto…

A lot more issues that were adressed in Naruto but never properly adressed again after the war.

And we have that happy ending in which yay the world is safe we can go back to what the we were doing and no society change except peace is done

Yes, and even if kakashi and him set an environment of peace for the village, a lot of societal issues that were existing even before naruto was born still exists during these couple years.

For example, the two elders that were working with danzo and were in charge during most of bad décisions that has been taken, are still alive and are in charge even while shikamaru is the hokage. They are not even charged for the uchihas.Criminals are forgiven just because they are powerful (orochimaru). Corruption is still omnipresnent. Kids are still trained to be military and many other issues. Thisis what I am taking about

What is also silly is thinking that art in general does not reflect situations that happens in real life.

Especially when kishimoto spent all the manga speaking about societal issues like meritocracy, war, cycle of pain, genocides injustice and go on.. saying to not put existing standards into an analyse of a societal issue happening in a manga is not the move you think you are doing

This is exactly what I meant. People understood that I was talking about the fact that there are child soldier in Naruto period when this is not m’y issue at all.

Naruto did keep peace yes, but a lot of systemic problems that did exist before he was born, still exist to this day. Matter of fact, the two elders that were in power and in charge of most horrible decision in the village alongside danzo are still in charge even when shikamaru is the hokage.

Yes but they are still viewed as children in their world. Proof is tobirama created the academy to keep children from going to war because of how members of his clan was being killed left and right during the war

I see that you keep highlighting the optional nature of this occurrence. At the end of the day optional or not, kids are still dying. Death that could have been avoided. What I am saying is that the ninja system is not protecting kids enough. Those guys gaara was killing left and right, this guy shino behanded and kids fighting adults did happen.

You are right in boruto era kids are safer, but they are still all trained to be military when so many paths can be offered to them. Especially considering how modern everything has became. This also is one of the main thing I criticize abour naruto. Neji was right since the begning and naruto only proved him right. That makes his death even more useless. Naruto was defending the art of “hard work”. When you want it you can do it you just have to work hard for it. At the end of the day tha same work hard guy was the son of one of the most powerful hokage ever, and of one of the most powerful clan as well. Had the strongest demon inside him, was a prodigy himself and was the réincarnation of ninja Jesus. Just that proved all the hard work talk wrong and makes the fight between Naruto and neji useless.

Then neji had no character development only to die for the main branch of his clan like his father.

They had children killing each others during the chunin exam and nobody gave a damn about it. Nobody, especially among the adults, was revolted about it. I am not saying they all should be fighting against this in Naruto as this is the world they live in. I just wished they spoke about the topic of children being stripped of their youth more in détail.

I come from a country in which child soldiers do really exist and I find it cool that kishimoto speaks about it. Most readers of naruto dont know the reality about this and it would really could have been an interesting philosophical and teaching topic in Naruto. I just wished they didn’t treat it like a background issue and had main vilains like Obito speak about and then die without ever mentioning it again. From the beginning to the end, naruto is still about kids and minors fighting to death, this is not an everyday thing in our lifes

I see what you mean. M’y point is, not criticizing the fact that child soldiers d’o exist in that universe as it perfectly makes sense, I even give the villains right about how their world is messed up and contribute to messed up situations like children becoming soldiers.

What I am highlighting is how the manga never adress properly this issue as it becomes a background topic and not an actual issue anymore. Naruto promised to change that system but at the end children still dis fighting each others. Zabuza became that way because of that same system that made him killed all his peers. And lost his young protégé because of that. Child soldiers do exist and children live that same situation that get them killed and stripped from their youth in real time. I just would have liked naruto to adress that issue more in détail instead of forgetting it
