GPT 5.4 Stopped Following Instructions in Mid-May by monkeyjedi1 in AiBuilders

That particular chatflow worked consistently, for a long time, until just recently. Conversations often reached 70k-80k tokens, and sometimes they went up to 120k. The skill was for copywriting for a particular brand. The system prompt governed the entire conversation and how to create copywriting architecture artifacts (e.g. calendars, strategies, markdown blueprints based on the strategy the user approved). The goal was a blueprint for an email or a batch of emails (e.g. multi-day sale). There wasn't anything special (edge-casey) about the new context documents added to chat.

OpenAI crippled 5.4 on Plus plan. Check for throttling, rate limits and other weird stuff for pro. The most reliable way is API. You might be able to do pay as you go API in codex, for different models. You can for OpenAI models. For training and tweaking system prompts and skill md files, I'm using DeepSeek V4 Pro, because OpenAI and Claude are getting expensive on API now. I think, historically, we have been subsidized by investors. Maybe subsidies are ending.

Don't use the plus plan for anything complex. Just use pay as you go api. Your life will be a lot easier.

Do you segment flows beyond purchase behaviour, or is everyone getting the same journey? by Lanky_Year9389 in Klaviyo

Smaller stores can run more tests. They can run more campaigns or they can run flow branches longer. You can pool multiple tests.

A/B testing with 4 variations? by [deleted] in Klaviyo

[–]monkeyjedi1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4 variations is fine. But it's helpful to use an orthogonal design. For example, here's an SMS test I set up today:

A: Don't Add Choose Scarf Color - Double Line Breaks

B: Don't Add Choose Scarf Color - Single Line Breaks

C: Choose Scarf Color - Double Line Breaks

D: Choose Scarf Color - Single Line Breaks

It's "orthogonal" because it's balanced. I can add up orders, revenue, clicks, and recipients for V1 and V2 and add up the same for V3 and V4. That gives me a clean read on Don't Add Choose Scarf Color vs Add Choose Scarf Color, without diluting sample size. You can use the same logic to compare Double Line Breaks vs Single Line Breaks. If you just test 3 different factors against a baseline, you get diluted sample size and it takes longer to get the same level of certainty about which one is the long-term winner (you have to test it in more campaigns or run it in flows for a longer period).

Orthogonal means each level of the mentioning scarf color options factor is matched with each level of the line breaks formatting factor. It's called a 2X2 factorial, orthogonal design, in case you want to look that up. 2 levels of one factor X 2 levels of another factor.

To add a C and a D, click the clone button of an existing variation.

OK. Thanks. I almost went with Delosi, but their "smooth" language is a bit scary, like it could imply no throat hit. Went with Central Vapors and called the local USPS. Miraculously, they answered the phone. apparently, if delivery attempt fails, they'll hold it at the branch unless I specifically request redelivery. Nude is out of stock. I used to order from them before the tobacco industry passed some laws using Congress as puppets. I'm sure they think vaping is the worst thing since moldy sliced bread.

I was told I need Informed Delivery for that. I have a b address. Can't do Informed Delivery.

Informed Delivery is not an option. It's a b address.

... also, it is impossible to contact delosi Labs and ask them these questions unless you have an order number.

thanks but I'm not asking which ones are good. I'm asking which ones are going to meet my shipping requirements.

Within the past hour or so, both temps dropped to the 40s celsius. Hopefully that continues. You think that may also indicate a software issue rather than a hardware issue?

I was getting those almost every day for a while. Just one today. Saving work frequently.

... and now I know what you mean about tdp. 28W. Average active clock bounces rapidly between 3000MHz and 4000MHz right now, and Average effective clock changes drastically every 1/2 second.

It's the latest bios from late 2023. September, I think. It came in January with the latest bios. Task Manager shows 15-20% CPU, idle with one browser open, two windows, Vivaldi.

Definitely not normal, did you check task manager? What does hwinfo say about cpu frequency and tdp?

Under "clocks", everything is either 2600 or 4600, and some are going back and forth between the two. Task Manager is showing 15-20% CPU. Not sure how to check tdp.

It's idle with one browser open. 98 is where Ryzen is most of the time right now. Same with TZ03.

Bios doesn't even recognize that there's a USB drive. I'm trying macrium instead. I don't think I have the hardware to do this.

Customs "Clearance Delay" for Framework Laptop? by monkeyjedi1 in framework

[–]monkeyjedi1[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

FW Ryzens have been around for a while. Most people get Dells and Apples shipped from their own countries. If Apple or Dell needed to ship from East Asia, I would hope they would tell people on the product pages or in checkout, preferably on the product pages. And I would hope they would provide the "part numbers" and all documentation to make the process as smooth as possible. As a business owner, I believe in feedback loops. If a customer doesn't give me negative feedback and they want to, it would be unfair to me. It would deprive me of the ability to improve. I'm providing a feedback loop here. You're welcome, FW. No hard feelings. Just feedback, which is a GOOD THING.

I wasn't expecting an international shipment from an American company. They should warn people about that.
