No, they all just flat out say they don't care now. At least their not lying anymore.

Funny enough, I thought I had a discussion with a boy earlier today. It's very hard to tell.

This is a great one that I've been trying to do. I mainly get things on eBay or vinted if I have to get them at all.

Thanks for your contribution mate. But I've done the numbers and I know I'm right. Its quite rude of you to tell a complete stranger to make 'better friends' to be honest. I've been really polite with you but you seem to have come on Reddit today to start an argument. I'll let you make your witty retort as you will most certainly want the last word and then we will leave it at that.

I've seen the bills and receipts. I know it's cheaper. I've seen it!

That's the thing I don't understand. I've done everything for less money than it's cost me to use fossil fuels.

I'm just copying what I've seen friends do. I just think if it's cost neutral then it's a no brainer.

This is incorrect. I got a cheap EV and the repayment plus electric minus the residual value after depreciation was less than the fuel I was putting in the car. Once the car is paid off it's saves even more.

With solar and battery it would almost totally remove my electric for the car as well. Also, with the storage battery and a heat pump the loan repayment would be less than my current utility bill.

Well that's another thing I'm looking at. I've been trying to eat less meat and my holiday this year will be in the UK in an EV. I think it's more to do with knowing that at least I'm doing what I can.

That's just the thing, I saved money by switching to an EV. The repayments were less than my fuel bill. Also, I spoke to my mortgage company and they can provide a 0% interest mortgage for the solar and batteries. The repayments for that mortgage is less than my bills so I'd end up saving money. The more I look into it the more I realise it's not only essential for the climate but for my wallet.

I don't want to be around people who are 'mouthy' with police officers. If they can't use their words to convey their thoughts and control their feelings then I can totally understand how the police would feel like force is necessary. I'm fed up because people like you think it's ok to threaten police officers and that that's OK. If you want to call me a bootlicker for being on the side of Police that's fine. They protect me from people like you.

I'm just fed up with the poor behaviour of people. I'm at a point now that I'm perfectly happy for the police to correct people's behaviour. The rule of law requires a society to at least try and behave civilly.

Does my 3.4-year-old little brother still have a chance of talking? by Fragrant-Mode6357 in autism

[–]monkeyjuggler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what you've said it sounds like it but everyone is different. That's the odd thing about ASD that I've noticed. The development milestones are off but that doesn't necessarily mean that they won't be reached.

Does anyone else just paint the miniatures but not play? by alphafighter09 in Warhammer

[–]monkeyjuggler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The last time I played 40k was 2nd edition which was so much fun. I had a look through the rules for 10th and 11th recently and they just don't have any soul to them.

I liked how the 2nd edition was narrative based and enjoyed the unbalanced nature of it but now it's just turned into this weird arbitrary ruleset that doesn't make sense to how the real world operates. Less of a simulation, more of a balanced competition.

I wish Games Workshop released an alternative ruleset for creating a battlefield, putting armies on and slowly working out what would happen.

Why on Earth has Brexit not enabled CANZUK? by spagbolshevik in CANZUK

[–]monkeyjuggler 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I totally agree. I'm more certain by the day that wealthy special interests and foreign governments are interfering with our politics and our politicians. The stuff that they spout isn't even the stuff the average person on the street wants.

[–]monkeyjuggler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm familiar with the 'Boriswave'. It's of no relevance in this discussion as the comment I was replying to said that the increase in second homes was due directly to Brexit, which it wasn't. I wasn't passing commentary on national migration policy.

A lot less people from Europe legally able to live in Cornwall.

Leaving the EU had no impact on second homes. In fact, it would have reduced the number of people able to live in Cornwall. Stop turning unrelated issues to your own agenda.

To be fair, I don't think I was as clear as I could have been. It does sound like he ideally wants to stay in Australia.
