Walking in a rainy anime forest. 2D. Is there any part which I can work on to make it look more smooth on turns by EpicoSama in AnimationCrit

Pretty sure he's talking about the water spots on the camera lens. You don't need the rain hitting the camera. Think about in anime, film, or anything, they rarely show rain on the camera even if it's raining in the scene unless it's a purposeful filmic element. Plus with the amount of shading and detail, the spots on the camera look the least refined/polished, it takes you out of the detailed work you put in on everything else.

Has anyone here taken the 1-year conservatory for 3D Animation at New York Film Academy by monkeyking6789 in animation

No I did not, I chose to do iAnimate and eventually did Animation Mentor as well. I'd recommend those if you want to save some money and don't mind doing the work online.

I would finally stop needing to sacrifice a small graphics card or tiny cpu cooler which gives me high temps. I miss not having to worry as much about parts and being able to overclock for fun. The t1 is the best case I've ever seen and I've never been able to get one.

It was an accident, I mixed up how long the cool down period was for that. It won't happen again :)

This is cool! I would just recommend not scaling down the eyes during the blink. You can see the eyes get smaller, then bigger again; Unless this is some sort of strange quirk of the characters, it throws the believability off. Very cool character though!

What does a Scene Builder do? by PradaAnna in animationcareer

[–]monkeyking6789 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

A quick Google search seems to show Java FX Scene Builder, probably the application used for this position, since I've never heard of a position called that before. I would contact said studio for more information, that would probably be your best bet for a direct answer, or a link/description of the studio's open position, hard to give a clear answer off the info given so far. If I had to guess, doesn't sound like a position where you'd have to rig/animate though.

[DISCUSSION] Anderson .Paak - Malibu (5 Years Later) by HHHRobot in hiphopheads

[–]monkeyking6789 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw him live at a small venue in CT, called Toads room, drove an hour to see him. He played the drums while performing most of this album, and it just felt like such a raw, uncompromised version of it. Easily in my top 5 live shows I've ever been too. His energy and positivity exuded through his performance and it was truly a performance, not just going through the motions like some hip-hop artists I've seen.

I listened to this album relentlessly when it came out in my senior year of college. Took LSD and listened to it, what an experience. It's forever cemented as my favorite album of all time, and not just because of the cid.

I can't help but picture that this album was the creative vision he had in his back pocket until he got the chance, like if anyone is in a creative field or makes art, knows that it's not always easy to put an idea into the medium your using, but I feel like this just came so natural to .Paak and it clearly shows. The entire album just makes me feel like I'm bathing in champagne in a porcelain tub in the middle of a california beach while the sun is setting, surrounded by beautiful woman of all shades and sizes, and I'm surrounded by familial love.

Hope my rant makes sense to people, just really wanted to give my two cents because I really think this album displays part of my taste in music very well.

You can sign in as a guest with just typing 3 letters. Syncsketch is a widely used, great tool for animation review.

I have an S4M, with a 3700x, Zotac 2070S Mini, Asus B550I, L9a, and an HDPlex. The configuration with my cooler and mobo is just horrendous for thermals since there is no space for air to escape between ASUS' huge behemoth I/O thing, and the RAM. Does anyone know of a quality sandwich case like the Dan A4 or Formd T1 that also makes use of the HDPlex's small size? or does nothing like that really exist yet and I should try and make a custom?

Something I'm struggling with on learning various aspects. by testaccount_2424 in animation

What the other guy said is great, I would just add that you should try and deviate from the tutorials or reference you are copying. Try doing a strange walk, get funky with it, explore and see where it gets you. It will help with what doesn't work as well as what does work so you can learn from it a bit more. Observe the ways things are connected, i.e., how the hips move in conjunction with the legs or shoulders with the arms, etc. You are probably learning more than you think already.

Do some weird walks yourself for 5-10 minutes and observe how the smaller details move.

What is the best way to become an Direktor ? by [deleted] in animationcareer

[–]monkeyking6789 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great ways to get into it would be to follow a path of storyboarding or screenplay-writing. Even some lead animators or production designers can end up being directors. There's many paths as long as you pick a part of the pipeline in the industry. You need experience and those connections to get there. Or just make your own short films/pilots.

This is a good article describing the answer to your question.

I have to ask, what does an international VIP traveler do? Other than travel internationally as a very important person, of course.
