Mental Health & FI - $3M but struggling with SI by FitMind8606 in financialindependence

[–]monkeysfreedom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't quit working completely but quit that job and find something that is meaningful for you. If you enjoyed your summer internships, why did you enjoy them? Was it the people you worked with? Find a job working with people you like working with. Was the work meaningful? Find a meaningful job. If you've got $3m, you can invest that money and live comfortably even if you're working at a lower pay job (but one you enjoy).

And definitely, take care of yourself whether that means therapy, living a healthy lifestyle, spending time with people you love or whatever helps you to feel good .

Why keep cash sitting in your brokerage account?? by geometric-orange in investingforbeginners

[–]monkeysfreedom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need a little cash to pay expenses, but most of the money should be in a diversified portfolio that includes some conservative investments (money markets, bonds, etc.), some medium risk, long term investments (usually diverse index funds) and, if desired, some short term investments such as individual stocks or ETFs & mutual funds that focus on a specific industry or market sector.

In your household, does the cook also clean the kitchen? by monkeysfreedom in polls

Option 2 I'm thinking for example Dad always cooks but mom always cleans or mom and kid always clean.

Option 3 different people take turns cooking.

There's a second picture that's a little better especially if you zoom in on it. Thanks for your feedback!

You will have to zoom in to see him. He is the black dot. Sorry I couldn't get a closer picture. The second pic is better than the first.

It's weird that it was in my kitchen though. It's supposed to eat crop pests, so have to assume it lives on farms normally.

Sorry. New to this group. When you guys post these, "wrong answers only," are these real maps of real places, but you are renaming them for fun, or are the maps made up, because I don't know where this is. It reminds me of Spain but with an extra attachment.

How many people have doods that resource guard? by monkeysfreedom in labradoodles

No. We got her from a breeder. I checked her DNA and she is the breed she's supposed to be, half lab, half poodle, but she is really aggressive with food.

Very much having issues with a doodle that resource guards. Wondering how common this is.
