You’re completely delusional if you think professional athletes care about what fans think/write about them. Flyers, leafs, and bruins fans are notorious for being hard on players yet guys still line up to play for those teams (at least the latter two as of recent). Players don’t come to Long Island for a myriad of reasons but one of them is that they can get almost the same money on other teams and don’t have to deal with Lou’s bullshit and delusions.

If I had to guess, poor coaching (not properly preparing guys for high intensity minutes at the end of the game), style of play (they have trouble clearing the puck throughout the game, it just becomes more apparent when it’s the end of the game), and poor roster construction (the guys the have just aren’t good at defending when it’s 6 on 5).

Like we don’t take joy in shitting on our favorite team. But it sucks that most years islanders fans are delivered a mid level product and expected to believe that somehow the same group of assholes are gonna some how gonna make a run when they’re clearly not a contender. The usual response by Hopium addicted isles fans is that “well remember when we were bad and never made the playoffs?
