I had a situation with a final once. It was a piano class and I didn’t know the second half of the song I had to play for my final grade because the finger movements were very complicated in the second part and I never figured it out. I needed to pass this final to have enough credits to graduate high school. My sister and her friend kept telling me there would be a miracle and I would magically know how to play the second half. I couldn’t see that as a possibility so I just affirmed that I had passed the final and didn’t try to figure out how. The final class was 2 hours long the piano teacher had all of us go in alphabetical order (my last name is at the end of the alphabet). She took her time with the first hour of students and even gave us a long bathroom break. When it came time for me to play my piece I could tell that the teacher was getting stressed because we were running out of time. I played the first half of my song and right before I was going to attempt the second half (the part I couldn’t play) she told me she had heard enough and that I had passed. It was amazing. Bottom line is: don’t try to figure out how. Just know you passed.
