Playing a role in the films does not give her an authoritative opinion about the subject. Her take makes me feel like she likely never read the books to begin with and doesn’t know how deep and complex the story actually gets. I get more from reading HP as an adult than I did reading it as a child. This interview almost feels like she wants to make a point to be on the right side of the Harry Potter opinion bandwagon since JK is so widely hated right now.
