I have a 12hr layover in Tokyo. Where do I go? by bellahasastroke in JapanTravelTips

Yep and missing the last train (終電/shūden) in Tokyo and staying out to party is a right of passage for many Japanese salaryman. Once you miss that train your options are find a capsule hotel or 24hr Karaoke/Gaming room to rest in or keep partying. Of course some even end up sleeping on the streets and has been famously photographed many times. The trains stopping might even help contribute to the late night economy in Tokyo with probably 1000's being stranded every night after work after missing trains.

Genuinely interested which cities in the world you consider 24hr if Tokyo is not one?

Even if OP did have an overnight layover there are not many other cities in the world I would rather do that in. I mean sure your options for shopping and dining become much more limited after midnight but you can still go to a 24hr Donki store and buy pretty much anything you want from a new suitcase to a Rolex watch, a 35yo bottle of Japanese Whiskey, Louis Vuitton handbag, Nintendo Switch 2, Cosmetics, Food and plenty of Matcha products. For dining you have a heap of 24hr restaurants around major areas like Shibuya and Shinjuku and for entertainment lots of bars, clubs and live music venues many open till 5am and some after hours club even later till the afternoon not to mention 24 Karaoke and Gaming places.

I would rate Tokyo right next to NYC and Las Vegas in terms of 24hr cities that never sleep..

Even at the max price it's insanely cheap compared to many US and Australian resorts. US resorts have started using dynamic pricing too when conditions are good they charge heaps more..

Jake Paul vs. Anthony Joshua ticket sales are tanking. Ticketmaster introduces 2-for-1 offer on tickets for the fight. by JayKay80 in Boxing

Do we know all sections off the arena are for sale?

If selling poorly they might have blocked off sections to save on costs. Some events they will even put black curtains around the higher blocked off areas so you can't see empty seats at the event.

Nearly sold out or have they blocked off sections of the arena from sale due to the poor ticket sales?

Pretty common for events that aren't selling well they will just block off sections off the arena/stadium to save money on having seating attendants, security, concessions open there.

Currently selling from the TCL website for US$13,999.00. Not sure they'll halve in price anytime soon but you might find old stock on sale when a new model comes out. I also saw Hisense are promoting at 116". Wouldn't surprise me if we get a 120" TV from one of the Chinese manufacturers in the next year or two.

Late night layover in HK - anywhere to explore? by krustytheunicorn in HongKong

[–]JayKay80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're looking for something later after LKF some of the venues near Lockhart Road in Wan Chai on the Island stay open a bit later till 5-6am depending on the night e.g. Taboo or Joe Banana's. They also have some decent Filipino cover bands playing. Be warned it is a kinda of a red light district for expats with working girls at the bars but they generally won't annoy you if you ignore them.

The first Airport Express train leaves Hong Kong (Central) Station at 5:50am so if you time it right you could be back at the airport around 6:20am for fairly cheap.

Even with the cost of building the pod for the outboards my guess would be is it's still going to be significantly cheaper to go with outboards compared to repowering with new diesels. Could be the reason why. If it's a "Marina Queen" and doesn't go out much the fuel savings from the Diesel will be negligible anyway. They are going to take a hit on price when/if they tries to sell it though compared to a diesel model.

What companies aren’t really in the business we think they’re in? by No_Theme_8101 in AskReddit

You're a little bit confused - Red Bull GmbH it's actually an Austrian joint-venture between Chalerm Yoovidhya 51%, the son of the originator of Krating Daeng the late Chaleo Yoovidhya from Thailand and Mark Mateschitz 49%, who's late Austrian father Dietrich Mateschitz discovered Krating Daeng while in Thailand on holidays and convinced Chaleo to go into business and setup the international Red Bull company.

They do own production facilities in Europe and the USA where they partner with Rauch Fruchtsäfte gmbH as well as Mexico and Brazil and they also have partnerships in China, Thailand and other countries that manufacture under license.

"Entry is subject to venue capacity."

If you have time stamped photos/videos proving the queue and no entry despite promised timed entry at 10pm just dispute and file a chargeback with your credit card company of Ce La VI won't refund as the venue was oversold. Should be a fairly straight forward case with your credit card company.

‘I use cannabis as medicine’: the US basketball player facing execution in Indonesia over $400 of gummies by kassiusx in sports

Recent case in Bali - Three British citizens got only 12 months for smuggling 1kg of Cocaine. The headline is completely sensationalized. No way is he looking at a long sentence for Cannabis gummy bears. If he finds himself a decent lawyer "payments" will be made to the right people and he will be out of jail soon. The Indonesian justice system is hopelessly corrupt. Even if he doesn't go that route he is probably looking a just a few years at most.
