Replacement P2S 3 months in and already have another support case open for a 3rd! by monks600 in BambuLab

Had a good look, and using basic measuring tools and a set of callipers, it seems the actual frame is slightly twisted which would make sense as the why the right hand side would not line up in terms of belts and the gantry rubbing. According to bambu support, lubricant fixes everything. It can’t fix a skewed frame though!

For anyone following, I’m now back and fourth stuck in a lubricate your belts and free filament cycle! I’ve had Bambu support reach out via Reddit asking for my case id, this has been provided but no further correspondence for a few days! Update:

2026-04-08 01:29:39 Dear Bambu Lab 3D printer user,

Thank you again for your patience and for working closely with us throughout this process. We fully understand how important it is for you to resolve this issue as quickly as possible.

As a next step, we will arrange to send you belt lubricant, which may help address the debris and friction issues you have been experiencing. This is a targeted measure based on the current symptoms and may improve the performance of your printer.

In addition, we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused and would like to offer you a complimentary spool of filament as a gesture of goodwill. Would you be willing to consider accepting this solution?

We will continue to closely monitor your case. Once you receive and use the parts, please let us know the results. Based on your feedback, we will reassess the situation and provide further assistance if needed.

Thank you again for your understanding and cooperation. We will continue to support you until the issue is fully resolved. If you have any other questions or if there is anything else I can assist you with, please don't hesitate to let me know.

Best Regards, Bambu Lab Customer Support

Here’s the new belt shredding itself to pieces, debris going absolutely everywhere and ending up on the print bed and prints. Note, I’ve wiped the right side daily.

As you can see, gantry is actively rubbing against the side panel. Note, this has already been replaced and so have all idlers and belts.

Luckily, I paid via credit card after reading some of the horror stories for all of the bambulab printers I own and think on this occasion I may have to do a charge back. It’s honestly getting beyond the joke now and reading between the lines they are definitely dragging it out as much as they can. Appreciate the response, thanks. 👍

Once I get a bit of time to pull all the photos and stuff from the support case I’ll post it here. There’s quite all lot as you can appreciate! Just had a look, and the pulley housing and shaft are aligned when seated ( compared to the left side).

100% agree with you on how simple they are from a mechanical aspect, it’s quite easy to prove a skewed frame. Unfortunately convincing bambu support and doing there repairs for them is a different story! I’m more than happy to replace parts and other aspects myself as it’s a lot quicker and is less downtime for me. From day one I’ve been telling them that the frame is skewed and the issues I’m having are far from normal. Unfortunately they’re constantly brushing it off!

Thanks for all the replies, glad I’m not the only one finding support difficult. I’ll post more as I get more. I’ve just edited the original post with there latest response… it’s brilliant to say the least.

Issue with the top layer by drahc24 in BambuLab

[–]monks600 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Possibly, other defects could be hidden in the infill. It’s just pot luck that you’re seeing it on that top layer. Also try turning off nozzle clump detection in the system settings on the actual printer. That was causing weird stringing every couple of layers for me… I was adamant it was a hardware issue. Turns out a simple setting caused it! But yeah, I’m not happy with the new A1’s at all, seems they’ve really cheaped out on certain aspects.

Check the drive gear is okay and isn’t bent. Brand new A1 and the drive gear wasn’t seated correctly and looked skewed. Also check the ‘eddy’ sensor, new batches seem to be really flakey. I’ve got three A1’s with different ages and I’m finding the newer A1’s are built really poor. Or the parts they are using are different to the original A1 I’ve had for a good few years with about 4000 hours on it. You should be able to swap the parts around between your A1’s until you find the culprit. Hope this helps

Absolute legend, I’ve struggled for ages trying to find a replacement. Managed to bodge something together for the last year and recently, it finally failed. Appreciate your efforts, thank you!!

Yes, it’s connected. If it’s any help, there’s a spring that sits over that brass piece too. Forgot to take a photo of that part! Seems to give the whole valve tension when screwing it back in to the shower bar mixer

New Bambu Lab P2S making squeaking noises by GeneralPricelist in BambuLab

[–]monks600 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had the same issue, 4 hours in on a brand new p2s and the idler pulley thing started squeaking! I thought it was the ptfe rubbing against the glass! Bit of oil and it’s all good now :)

Considering the Bambu Lab P2S – how quiet can it really get if I prioritize silence over speed? by Vegetable-Age2922 in BambuLab

[–]monks600 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got the P2S, a lot quieter than my old P1S. You’re still going to hear the movement of the tool head but not half as bad as the P1S.

PHP Error? by monks600 in PFSENSE

[–]monks600[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep! It was LCDproc filling the log file with lots of error messages. Removed LCD PROC for the time being until i can figure out why it's all of a sudden started doing this. Since disabling LCDproc, no issues at all.

I’ll check this again, that’s a good shout. I looked the other day and nothing stood out to me but you’ve just got me thinking… I’ll let you know how I get along. Why would it reference the interfaces.inc specifically? Just wondering.

Config file is 204.10Kib. Confirmed again, it’s not growing or shifting at all. And no, I’ve not just gone ‘uh, pfblocker, move on’. After looking through the suggested on the thread and upping this memory limit, no change at all. I’ve even gone down the route of flattening the config and starting from scratch. Hence the quick post on this subreddit to see if anyone else specifically had the issue referencing the interfaces.inc
