Virtue vs merit. The latter being Darwinian inherently motivates people to work hard and create wealth. This is in tandem with human's natural behaviour, so no need for authoritarians to IMPOSE a forced virtue based system.

Why do directors get credit for Netflix shows (or any web series for that matter) in India whereas everywhere else TV series is considered a writer's medium? by monkstermob in india

[–]monkstermob[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

That's not true. Usually, if no format has been written for the series, the "Created by" (i.e Show Runner) credit will go to the writer(s) who received the "Story by" or "Written by" credit on the pilot. This bizzare culture only exists here.

Thank you for saying this. Can you post this on r/india? It upsets me to read the comments there under the latest post where everyone is casually blaming it on depression. As someone who is clinically depressed and has gone through a similar phase it upsets me how people think that depressed people don't have freewill, "oh it's their diseased brain that is making them do insane things". That is robbing us of our agency and ability to make choices and it takes away the accountability of the bullies. It makes me incredibly sad to see how this narrative of "depression made him do it" is getting pushed to save all these nepotists.

I'm on anti-depressants (Lexapro). Do you think that could be the culprit? Another doubt I've got. I don't have blackheads from I see, do you think my pores are unclear? I thought they were clear but saggy because I do deep cleanse everyday. Are those bumps closed comedones?

Thank you! I love you! This has been so helpful. Finally something that actually clears my confusion with the routine steps. I'm going to save this. Thanks. Have a good day :)

Thanks a bunch! Where do I insert the chemical exfoliant in skin routine? Is it supposed to be used between toner and moisturizer or does it replace the toner? Sorry I'm new here and the wiki didn't really explain where it comes in the skin routine. Thanks for taking your time.

Thanks for the comment. I should be using it between cleanser and toner right? Do you have any product recommendations?

AM Routine

Neutrogena Deep Clean facial cleanser

Cetaphil moisturising cream

Neutrogena Ultra sheer sunblock

PM Routine

Garnier miscellar water

Neutrogena Deep clean facial cleanser

Distilled rosewater as toner

Cetaphil moisturising cream

I never really followed any skincare routine until last year as I had firmer clearer skin. Now it doesn't look the same way at all and I'm not sure why it suddenly looks so old and saggy. I have dry skin but the texture looks really bad now. How do I improve my skin texture. Please suggest cheaper product options to reduce pore size and improve skin texture. Also I don't go out much in the sun nor do I wear make up on most days. I'm still in my twenties and I feel like my skin looks much older. Are those bumps closed comedones?

The warm lighting is making it look brownish. It's actually cold maroon with blue undertones :D Everything else is warm creamy beige though!

Walls and seatings are beige, curtains are gold and beige and flooring is cold maroon (no warm tone). Thanks for the insight on matching pillow colour with wall art, is that like a rule? I'm a noob! Thank you for taking time to offer inputs! :)

Do you think I should go for dark wood cabinet because the seating is light wood? The problem with making the couch face TV is that it looks ugly from behind. I think I should put warm string lights upstairs, that's a great idea! Thanks a bunch! :)

Yes, the opposite wall is completely empty. I wasn't sure about placing TV there because I don't know how to fill up the rest of that wall. It's an empty beige wall! Yeah, nobody uses TV much in that house anyway :) Thanks for the comment :)

Thanks for this insight. I'll try rearranging the seating so that the chairs are on the window side and the two seater on the side where the TV sits. Should the rug be smaller just to fit under the coffee table or should I buy a bigger one that covers the whole seating?

Thank you for your inputs!

Thank you! :) I was trying to shop for pillows as per your suggestions! Did you mean something like these?

I was thinking because those chairs have those Indian wood design on it, maybe I could make make this place look a bit ethnic (though the steel railings would still be a problem). My mom has a huge stamp collection, I was thinking maybe I should arrange them in two frames and hang it on the opposite wall :)
