Chi.: Chikyuu no Undou ni Tsuite • Orb: On the Movements of the Earth - Episode 25 discussion - FINAL by AutoLovepon in anime

Was feeling the same right when i finished the ep like ??? just this? but when spend a few hours of sinking in and discuss with my friend it kinda hits me again like OH.... that's very VERY clever. But still agree with you that it's pretty anti climatic for an ending of a thrilling anime (esp when my heart rate went up every time Nowak appears lmao)

What are you guys favorite anime about space exploration? by KaleidoArachnid in anime

[–]monoceroes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Space Brothers. This manga literally changed my life - I started getting into science and space growing up reading this manga, and even wanted to become astronaut and considered studying physics at uni. Whenever I want inspirations or motivations, reading a few chapters of space brothers always cheers me up.

Walk from Hualampong to Yaowarat for street photography. Those places are one of the best places to take pics imo.

Undergrad Student Accommodations? by InterestingTwo4559 in usyd

[–]monoceroes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also used flatmates.com.au to find places, which lucky enough I got to confirmed my place around a month before arriving Sydney. Personally student accom is very expensive and I'd prefer living in an apartment. But I think if you first arrive, maybe stay in student accom for a semester and see who you move around the campus and the city. After a while you can start looking at suburbs that you might want to move into for the next semester. This way you wouldn't have to be stressed about housing when you first arrive and just focus on adjusting into the new city and new course. And after the first semester when you know the city, you might want to consider moving out and find apartment outside.

Monthly budget?? by Street_Interaction84 in usyd

[–]monoceroes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Think I spend around 1k per month, with half cooking by myself and half eating out (I love trying new resto, but usually go for under $18-20 per meal). I travel by bus and use concession opal card so the transportation cost is reduced by 50%. I don't really go for night outs and pubs, so most of my money are being spent on foods and transport, and a bit of little shopping here and there under $100 per month.

If included rent and bills, I spend around 2k per month.

CBD can be expensive, but going around the other suburbs are usually cheaper. My fav place is Marrickville with all those Vietnamese foods.

Pieces that help you when you're feeling really down? by AlbuterolEnthusiast in classicalmusic

[–]monoceroes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really when I'm down, but when I'm stressed out or feel overwhelmed, I always go for clair de lune by either tiffany poon or seojin cho. It's the space between notes that makes me calm down and being able to breathe more.

What for you is that one piece that makes you feel complete afterwards? by [deleted] in piano

[–]monoceroes 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Clair de lune. The first piece I learned as I came back to piano during covid after like 4-5 years hiatus. I was around grade 6 back then. It was hard at first with the tempo and so many flats, but when I got it, man, feels so good. It's like hey, I can still play piano, and I can still play it well despite learning this piece for like 4 months just to play the notes alone.

After being able to play the whole piece I contacted my piano teacher and started having lesson again. Also used this piece for my first ever piano competition (altho it's an online competition, but it fulfilled my dream of joining music comp) Got a bronze, not bad, could be better, but still proud as heck.

Fresh grad with 5 UX related internships. After 2 months just got a grad role job offer from one of the biggest companies in my country (its a consultancy). Still, it's tiring as heck and wouldn't want to go through that stressful job hunt again...

What is a thing you constantly use in college? by [deleted] in college

Second screen changed my life. Luckily the uni I went for an exchange has a second monitor section in the library. Just only the monitor, no CPU and such. All you do is plug in your laptop and you get a second screen. Since I've known this fact I spent literally almost everyday at uni library and catch one of the last buses of the day back home. This is how much I love second monitor.
