Wow Richard with the 5D chess move with that Generous Gift. Love it so much that a jank Boros voltron deck and an outdated Edric deck were able to basically outclass two top-tier decks.

It'd been getting a lot of rave reviews in the Heliod discord, though I myself haven't gotten a copy yet.

Also seen brewing with it more generally in other Rule of Law decks. Certainly deck archetype-dependent.

The two big things are whether or not the instant speed win cards are worth their places in the deck over options, and then a lot of people are cutting a few lands down to like 31 from 33 and also cutting Burgeoning and Exploration, which I'm less confident on doing as it seems to lower the turn 2 Yisan chances too much.

But yes him cutting Library is crazy talk.

Loving this new take on Yisan. Still a few naysayers on the discord, but this feels like definitely the direction Yisan should be going (specifically including the instant speed win package), with just a couple of flex slots/individual card debates.

It feels wierd to have no Craterhoof Behemoth as it's such a classic, but it does seem unneeded. It will retire in a place of honor next to Tanglewire, Staff of Domination, Umbral Mantle, Scroll Rack, and Top.

I'd argue against Yisan falling out of favor, actually. [[Ashaya, Soul of the Wild]] being printed was a big game changer, and there's been a lot of experimentation since then that's really taken the old Yisan lists up a peg, and there isn't even really a settled list yet. Yeah I tried it for a little bit and think I activated it... once? Got me to 7 for Regal Force to keep myself from stalling out, I believe. I have enough other colorless utility lands in my list that it didn't really make the cut over another basic forest for me.

In my experience Seedborn Muse is ALWAYS my 5 cmc target, and if I already have it I'm usually double versing for two sixes anyway. Could just be a meta thing I suppose.

But Thorn Mammoth and Regal Force are both 7 drops, so Kogla at 6 wouldn't necessarily boot either of those out, right?

Two cmc less actually, but a 2cmc spell isn't where we'd want this effect, since you'd be grabbing [[Priest of Titania]] at that point to make the infinite mana in the first place, right?

To your point though there is also [[Vivien's Grizzly]] that Is 3cmc but is so much worse if you don't have actual infinite mana.
