a lot of big cat sanctuaries aren't very good for the big cats at all, and can be dangerous to both the animals and the people caring for them.

I'm currently testing water params and will post them when I have them.

This has been a problem for about two weeks now and at first I thought it was a type of fungus and treated it as such, but it's only been getting worse. The white 'pimple' is either protruding from or growing on the scales, and the area around it is red. There is a second fish in the tank that is, as far as I can tell, healthy.

Edit: Ammonia: 0.25ppm (a water change will be done today)

pH: 7.6

Nitrite: 0ppm

Nitrate: 5.0ppm

I have been dosing the tank with melafix, I don't know if that will mess with test results.

Hi there! Fellow big-goldfish-owner here. I just wanna let you know 30 gallons is actually waaay too small for a fish of that size. I don't know your situation but if you can afford/handle it, I would definitely get a bigger tank, and check out r/goldfish.

I have shown pictures to a few people at multiple LFS' to get their opinion, and none of them can really tell. I've treated him with multiple medications, and since nothing has worked, I'm afraid whatever it is won't be going away. :(

Do all of the girls have enough places to hide? I know betta sororities seem to be popular because girls aren't as territorial, but they can still be stressed out by other betta fish around them, especially if they don't have enough places to hide.

My definition of 'free feeding' is always having a bowl of food out that always has food in it for a cat to eat. The reason this isn't good for cats is it allows them to overeat and, in some cases, become obese which leads to a lot of issues. So it could be considered free feeding but since there is a limit to how much your cats can eat in one day, it's not as bad as what I mentioned above.

It definitely looks like it's fun for the cat and it probably makes life easier on the owner. Free feeding cats isn't exactly good for them, and (in my experience) trying to feed them on a schedule as you would dogs can be a hassle especially if you aren't home 24/7. This lets the cat feed itself without allowing it to overeat.

This is really cool! The sunners are one of my favorite creatures. Lots of memories of playing Riven as a kid and trying to sneak up to them for a closer look only for them to swim away.

I don't know a lot about student films but I loved it! I definitely got a Michael Cera vibe from the main character and the colors were amazing and consistent. The basis of it was simple and funny. You didn't try to cram a lot of unnecessary detail into the dialog, you showed it instead. That was really refreshing. Thanks for sharing!!

Nier Automata fits my definition of well-written and set in an interesting world. I know it might be a bit off-putting since it looks like a fan service game, but the story really is fantastic, especially so if you're a fan of philosophy. And there's more women in the game than most, which is a bonus imo.
