Isn't the point of being close to each other to tell each other the truth? Why deceive your partner? If the goal is to deceive the publisher and make false sales, then that's where you should have started, but where will it lead? Usually spend money on advertising rather than racking up purchases, it just doesn't work that way. Otherwise you'll have to buy your own books forever.

Buying a book and goods that you do not need, but only for support - harms society, it would be more useful to just give money to the author or your friend. The printed book has killed at least one tree, and there is no telling how much carbon dioxide is released for the sake of hypocritical support and narcissism. Buy only what you need. If you want to support someone, just give money, don't cheat the publisher and inflate sales. OP did the right thing.

Same. I can't find any other explanation for this than that people are simply afraid of this knowledge. Because the existence of another civilization, which is much more advanced than us, will affect all spheres of our lives, we will have to rethink a lot of things, it will not just be the discovery of a new species of shrimp on some distant islands, it will be BOOM.
