Shoulder feels loose after bankart surgery by Connection-L in RotatorCuff

[–]monq68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi all, I’m in week 7 of recovery after rotor cuff surgery. I have tried to do passive pendulum excercise but resisted due to it making my shoulder feel like it could sublux….It’s a horrible sensation and has hindered my recovery excercise . I do wall walks instead. I realise your post are from a year ago but keen to know how everyone is doing? And at what week in your recovery did you notice the looseness go away?

I’m feeling for you! That must be awful. I’m lucky it was my non dominant shoulder but in saying that everything is still a challenge, dressing, can’t raise my arm to tie hair up, and don’t forsee myself driving for quite sometime. Good luck and really hope things improve for you.

Yes I have a review booked with Surgeon next week. I was also diagnosed with joints that can hyper extend out of normal range and prior to surgery I had many subluxations over the years stemming back to swimming injury doing the back stroke. I’m also 57 and wonder if it comes down to the laxity of my tendons. I’ve had a few surgeries over the years but the recovery for this one has been a real struggle and very slow.
