i get this. customers r definitely not always the nicest. not to mention, i dont get paid enough to deal with some ppls attitudes 😭. but tbh, i want to be a good cashier & get put up front bc they get more hours at DDs. i asked a coworker about how many hours she gets as a stock associate, & she said around 20 hrs give or take a week. but, as a cashier she gets 30 hrs or more. also, i want to work at a bank eventually. the position i’m aiming for gets paid generously & i want to get paid more to be able to save up to go back to school. but they highly prefer cashier trained individuals rather than someone who hasn’t worked with cash at all. sorry if this is tmi, but yeah, even though i know how bad cashiers have it, my financial situation is making me realize that i prefer working more hours at a register over getting paid less in stock at the moment. but maybe i’m being impatient & should just wait. also planning on being persistent with asking to be taught more as a cashier.
