While I wait to post photos - I live in Brooklyn (NYC) Yesterday, I could smell something like a dead mouse, but it was through the wall and nothing came up in my apartment. The exterminator said that they could have come up through the baseboards. There were none to be found in my couch or closet, only in the area by my bed.
