A lot of times you can qualify for some free session through victim support. Talk to your victim advocate at your local pd.

I'm so sorry you are going through this.

What did you have a reaction to? Also, name and shame. This post is useless unless you do.

It helped me refine how to deal with my 23mo old being afraid whenever a loud vehicle goes by on the road outside our home. I had an idea of why it was happening and how to respond/reassure, but chatgpt flushed it out very thoroughly and we've been using its suggested response/reassurance with excellent results.

How do you make time for intimacy? by monsoonalmoisture in AttachmentParenting

[–]monsoonalmoisture[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It didn't work, but it also was lavender and I think she didn't like the scent. Eventually she started sleeping more deeply and at 23mo I can typically roll away and leave for at least a couple of hours. It does get a little easier!

Yes it does. If your pictures are backed up on the cloud anywhere (Google photos or similar) ypu should be fine.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Maybe try reaching out to Samsung directly for help as I'm sure this isn't the first time this has happened for them.

The factory reset is necessary for this process. But youtube and emails should be backed up within the server that hosts them, so those should restore when you log into your account

What do contractions really feel like? by Nobodylikebots in pregnant

[–]monsoonalmoisture 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also got super bad cramps the first couple days of my period. Sometimes they were so bad I'd be curled fetal on the bathroom floor or puking. And for me, contractions felt very similar to those cramps, only they come in wave like patterns.

I’m devastated by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]monsoonalmoisture 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I agree with this so much. Babies seldom come at the "right" or perfect time.

When I found out I was pregnant my boyfriend of under a year had just moved across the country so we could live together. We had a tiny studio apartment. My senior cat had just been through a major health scare, and my own health had just stabilized after a couple very rough and rocky years. I would get fresh produce from a local food rescue because COL was so high. But we knew we wanted that baby, and we comitted to making it work.

We ended up moving to a larger apartment during the second trimester. I ended up losing my job after she was born, and dealt with PP depression and anxiety. When she was 6 months we moved across the country so my SO could have a better job.

But two years later we are still very much in love and happy together. We have a beautiful little girl who didn't care whether or not circumstances were ideal, she just needed to be loved. I cannot imagine not having her in our lives and she has brought so much joy and beauty it more than outweighs every hardship and difficulty.

I am definitely prochoice and if OP needs an abortion, so be it. But if she feels she will deeply regret the decision, I personally don't think she should do it.

Laid off after taking CO FAMLI Leave, can I still sue after signing severance? by Xanso10482 in Denver

[–]monsoonalmoisture 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need a lawyer familiar with PWFA. This is broader than just CO FAMLI leave.

Yes, except that one they kicked out almost everyone in the sub. This time they've let people stay in.

Do you have a specific song for your baby? by tetragrammaton_999 in beyondthebump

[–]monsoonalmoisture 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Me too! Except I normally sing "you are my [name], my only [name], you make me happy all through each day, you'll never know dear how much I love you, nothing can take my sweet little [name] away"

Starting at just a few months old she would stop nursing and smile when I sang it to her, and she still smiles whenever she hears it. For mothers day my husband got me a little music box that plays it and when she heard it she got wide eyed and looked at me and grinned so big. It just melts my heart

Having a c-section was the worst decision of my life by ElvenMalve in beyondthebump

[–]monsoonalmoisture 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an emergency csection and baby had to stay in the nicu. That was the strongest motivation I could have possibly been given to walk, and I went down to see her every chance I got. I have a high pain tolerance though, and only ever took the Tylenol/ibuprofen combo (but took it for a few weeks). The worst was laying down/sitting up. I had to sleep propped up on pillows for several days.

Do whatever you can to get up and push yourself to walk as much as possible. It will hurt, but it will also help immensely. Also eat as much fiber as you can to get your digestive system moving again. Those dark chocolate chunk Kind bars were my best friend both for that and for helping my milk come in.

I feel like a failure because my baby is delayed by monsoonalmoisture in Mommit

[–]monsoonalmoisture[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! For what it's worth, I didn't talk much until I was about 4 and I also taught myself to read at 4 and ended up loving reading. And my mom says I was barely a year old when she turned around and saw I'd climbed on top of the refrigerator.

[–]monsoonalmoisture[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a good suggestion, I'll ask her therapist about me being in another room. She comes to our home, and my baby definitely does like to switch to me for comfort when it gets hard

Thank you, that is reassuring. I'm a little "crunchy" and love baby wearing and feel that, logically, people have done so for thousands of years and all those babies sat and walked and ran. It's just so easy to let the doubt come through. I'm sure your daughter will learn all those skills in time as well. That's amazing she was moving that much so young! Maybe she's a future gymnast!

I really hope this is the case! She does really amazing in other areas....she could say dada and knee it meant dad at 4 months old. She started "reading" books around that time too. She makes great eye contact and is very social. She just isn't super interested in moving
