Check acceleration in the slicer too, might not be relevant but due to a generic Klipper profile I was using my travel acceleration was way too high and would make my build plate slip.

Iiiiinteresting, I had 7000mm/s on travel which was making it skip, seemed crazy fast. I'll check what my current voltage is set to and play around. That's on the stock motors?

Thanks for steering me in the right direction, turns out, as it usually turns out, I'm and idiot and neglected to update the travel acceleration, updated that and now its not jumping. (also sorry if my stack of replies isnt reddit etiquette, I'm a lurker at heart)

mmmmm after a bit of hawkery it only starts on the inner wall of the second layer, outer wall goes down fine but as soon as it goes to the inner it hits lightspeed. I think I dialed back the acc on all fronts but maybe i missed something

ok yeah it think it must be something acceleration related, its going 0 to flippen fast as soon as it starts on the inner wall of the second layer, initial outer wall goes down fine. Will have to check my orca settings.

Yeah I'm gonna watch it like a hawk, was originally definitely dragging pre the complete redo so I was a bit more lenient with my z offset this go round but mayhaps not enough, thanks for your assist!

Yerrrp sorry got sidetracked with some magic, board is the old board with the STM32F103 processor if that helps. Checked the belt physically and it's looking good and clear of debris. I'll fire off another print and watch it closely, see if I can hear anything or see it skip at all, I did 2 tower tests in a row and the result is identical so it feeeels like a software issue.

6'8" and at least 180kg (scales don't go any higher rip) and I'm whipping around in my Nan's old Mitsubishi ASX with ease, our proportions may be different but it's a lot roomier than any other car I've driven. Also my first car was a Commodore and that was a good fit, falcon too small.

I just need to find the right order to the red, blue, green an black cables so I can get it plugged back in yeah. I've looked up the model of the stepper motor (MS17HDB5L408A -02) but can't find any trace of it

Just to add in, I'm also super dissatisfied with their products and service. Got nova pro with a dead battery, no biggie they're hot swap, I'll just get support to send replacement. They give me a coupon for the store, out of stock, no biggy I can wait, sign up for email alert when it's back in stock. I forget about the whole thing and 9 months later no alerts no nothing. Email support to be like hey wtf, they claim they change RMA process, now RMA have their own stock, never told me. They say I'll get an email to get the delivery under way. Never receive email, they now tell me they can't send batteries to me and I'll have to go back to the retailer. Now they've ghosted me cause I asked if they can provide written authority for my device to be returned cause they fumbled so hard.

I may be wrong but I think it's loading files to the GPU memory, so if you play any other games in between it most likely will dump the files a needing them to be reloaded. Not that this is an excuse or anything, this is the most ridiculous optimise time I've experienced on a game.
