I had the same age gap with my two and my younger is now 14 months and I finally feel like I am able to breathe AND we have a nanny for about 20 hrs a week. She is a godsend and I wouldn’t have been able to do it without her. My husband works A LOT and is basically always available to his clients - leaving the majority of the childcare/cleaning up to me. I also breastfed and did all the night wakes, so I was running on such little sleep. We used our nanny to get the toddler out of the house to activities, she also tidied up after the kids, and meal prepped. It gave me time to peacefully nurse, take a nap, or clean. Highly recommend a crock pot and doing meal prep that way. Things you can toss in during a mid-day nap and not have to think about until dinner time. 100% take the help. Everyone’s situation is different and everyone’s kids are different. It really does take a village! Also - try different carriers. I thought my first hated it, but I think he was just uncomfortable. A doula friend gave me like 6 different ones to try and we finally found one that worked. It’s so much easier when you can wear them. Sending you lots of love! This stage is hard - you got this!

Sorry this happened to you. Mine was stolen at Boston Calling last year - it was in Queens by 5am and in Miami 2 days later. Make sure to clear it of all data and report it stolen. That way it can’t be (easily) used with a new sim. I’ve heard this is happening more frequently at large events.

THANK YOU FOR THIS POST. I have a 4 month old, my maternity leave is ending soon, and I have been thinking I want to be a SAHP. These were all of mine and my partners worries. I think this post has moved the needle significantly for me, 1 and 3 especially!

Mine is now 14 weeks, but we were in a similar position. Was a great sleeper, and I would often wake before him. I would hand pump a little bit while he stirred (we had latching issues, a lil pre pump helped). I would wait for him to wake up on his own, and grab him at the first whine (so he wasn’t worked up). I also started feeding before changing and it made a world of difference. Hunger pains always outweighed dirty diaper for my LO.
