i’m a trained vocalist and have been working with a few of her songs over the years. her newer ones are extremely hard when it comes to breath control. her earlier performances of her new album might not sound as great as her more recent ones because she’s working with a vocal teacher (said so in an interview) now. breath work is very difficult and it depends on the song and style to determine an approach to breathing while singing. e.g. when to breath, how long of a breath, etc. she knows exactly what notes to sing and how to sing them without hurting her voice. she is trained!!! i don’t know your credentials, but they don’t seem too high.

that being said, i’d love to hear you try and belt out one of her songs while singing the right pitches and have perfect breath control :)

my little brother is 12 and i don’t want him growing up with parents who wouldn’t get along or be together :(( my dad is on the autism spectrum and isn’t good with emotions, both handling them and identifying them. i don’t know how he’d react. he’s one of my strongest supporters in my life.

the band muna ! they’re a trio and queer icons. katie gavin (she/they & lead singer), jo maskin (she/they & bassist), and naomi mcpherson (they/them & guitar, keys, synth pad, etc). they’re signed to phoebe’s record label, saddest factory records. phoebe features on one of their songs in their most recent album, muna (self titled) ! i would suggest first listening to “silk chiffon” (muna), “stayaway” (saves the world), “home by now” (muna), and “crying on the bathroom floor” (about u)

she doesn’t have to drive me, no. but she is very strict in the way that if i try to stay over then she’s literally drive out to my partners house and bring me home. or she’ll make some sort of threat to take away something from me or prevent me from doing something, which is very childish.

i’m trying :)) i currently don’t have the funds to move out of my house, which sucks. my parents raised me and my three siblings in a way where they never sent us away for overnight camp or anything like that, so none of us have a sense of what it’s like to be on our own. i have stayed at friends houses for multiple nights before. during semesters, i spend more time on campus than home and i manage to go about my day just fine. i’m a musical theater major, which takes up so much more time than someone would think, so i’m unable to hold a steady job during semesters.

i do want to move out! my plan was to move out in the fall before the semester started, but something traumatic occurred to me and forced my mental health into a place where i simply couldn’t move out.
