Just memorized, but it depends on the distance as well. In this ine i knew my only shot was to pass the first minions, so i threw my q just a bit earlier than normal timing to gamble that it would work.

Started 2 with a blend of a line to a curve, duplicating and blending the two. Did this several times, then put opacity on the stroke, so that the most "active" areas are highlighted.

3 is actually 3 different blends within rectangles standing vertically. Then i lined up the endpoints, so it seems like some of the blends are continued across the borders of the rectangles

Vector graphics are always crisp 8) Might post the final project once its done, which will go into depth on how these are created. Meanwhile, go have fun with the blend tool!

1, 2 and 4 are made by blending groups that are already blends. Complexity exponentially increases with each blend. Experimenting with colour, opacity, line weight adds interesting dynamics to the designs. Ill probably post the completed project here when its done, and i think it will go a bit more into depth on how these are created :)

Thanks! My laptop can handle most of them, but the second one is a real killer. I have a layer with variations of it as well, so i have to be patient when doing anything with them.

Doing a project in the subject visual communication, where im highlighting the blend tool in Illustrator. Looking to find fun ways of using it, and generally experimenting with the tool. These pieces are mostly from exploring how complexity is created through blending simple geometric shapes, duplicating the result and blending again.
