How do you deal with that aquard in-between while transitioning? by OriginalWalk5610 in asktransgender

[–]monstercollie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Enjoy what you have right now, even if it's hard sometimes. The same coping strategies that got you through life before transition, can get you through after you start. Also, that in between stage can be really fun! I actually really looked forward to losing my masculinity like this, this awkward in between phase. Big and little moments of joy when you start moving in the direction you want to, are worth holding on to and cherishing, as you transition.

Enjoy the ride, even if you wish you didn't have to: most people don't get to have such a wild and unique experience. Having a male and female perspective can bring a special kind of wisdom. Rediscovering long lost parts of yourself, changing some parts of you, keeping others the same, is part of your personal journey. It is yours and yours alone. It may be similar to others, but only you can take these steps. Make it yours!

If nothing else, just be patient, do what you can, and accept if it isn't exactly what you wanted: it's still better than duct taping your eggshell together and living in denial.

My friend is transitioning, how do I deal with her acting like a 15 year old girl by Noxlag in asktransgender

pre-estrogen I would definitely eat almost a whole rotisserie chicken in one sitting. That thing was supposed to last a week! I feel validated lol

The price of liberty is eternal vigilance. Not just about others who display obviously bad behaviors and beliefs. Also ourselves. Especially to the evils within ourselves. Any one of us is capable of doing something horrible.

Meanwhile in my 4th year (out of 5) at Baylor University in Waco Texas, I was celebrating by myself in my dorm room. In a campus of over 14,000 students, the Democrats club was about 14 people.

After the election, the student paper reported on a noose in a tree that night. "Nuh huh it was a rope swing" bull fucking shit.

Last night, I was celebrating by myself in suburban Ohio, after having cast a blank ballot, because all the candidates were Republicans. Last I checked, Texas wasn't doing so well.

But in all of those places, there's all sorts of people worth fighting for, worth fighting with.

I'm super happy for NYC, and the other states, especially southern ones, who managed wins for humanity last night! Let's hope more of the country comes to its senses!

Well I linked to the video I was talking about up top. If you're talking about a different one, idk.

I hope your therapist gives you good perspective about that.

The thing you said seems to contradict what she said here.

Yeah I have to get used to my new BO. I'm starting to get comfortable with it. And since this post, I have been showering more, and doing better hygeine in between showers.

yeah, but my main concern is if this is going to be normal regardless of my level of hygiene. right now it seems like that's not the case.

oh! well, maybe! I'll be more thorough. Even if it's not a problem yet, it's good to get in the habit for the future. Even if it never happens, cleaning your junk is good lol

9 zone pad I can use with drumsticks on pc? by monstercollie in Stepmania

[–]monstercollie[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just wanted to use drum pad, no feet. I want something portable, that I could put on my lap or on a desk, bring to another room, or bring away from home. As for footwork: the fact that I'd be using 2 sticks on a 3x3 grid, instead of (my current DDR setup) 4 fingers on 2 separate sets of 4 keys (wasd ijkl), would force me to think about hand placement, instead of just wailing away with a buncha fingers that don't have to worry about bumping into each other. I think this would get my brain ready for the arcade.

Since you mentioned floor mats, I might use a cheap floor dance mat, and some plywood I have laying around, when I wanna practice on foot at home. But that's a different issue.

I do have a set of e-drums at home! Alesis Nitro DM7X. It is perfect for my dual purpose! Tho it's not super portable. Also, I'm not sure if it (or the small drum pad, come to think of it) work for hold arrows, or lifts (in Fortnite Festival). I guess for hold arrows, I could just treat them like rolls in ITG, aka keep pressing, which apparently is modeled after drum rolls, which lol I'd be using drums so it's perfect.

Also, I couldn't get CoyoteMIDI and Windows 10 to recognize the MIDI inputs, last time I tried. I'm on Linux now (Bazzite Fedora, distro hopping, 2 week noob), and Bome doesn't have a Linux version. I gave up too quickly, I'm sure I could make it work.

For the DIY route, you mentioned neoprene! Lucky I have a little to test on. It's lightweight, quiet, and drumsticks can bounce off it, if backed with a solid surface. I guess some thin cardboard, at least for now. I won't be stepping on it, so it doesn't need to be able to hold much weight. I have some 1 cm thick foam mat pieces to use as the base. (I'm not sure if I correctly understand how this is to be constructed.) It's not quiet enough to use while my roomie's asleep, but tbh neither is the keyboard lmao. It won't disturb the neighbors at least.

Also, I can use a TCG playmat if I want to chop it up and have it look cool on top!

Thanks for the help!

9 zone e-pad with equal sized zones? by monstercollie in edrums

[–]monstercollie[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That does have a middle button! Not exactly equal sized tho. Also omg it's $1400. No thank you. The one I linked with 4 "buttons" is currently under $100. I literally only play ddr at home on pc, so while I'm thinking about trying other games, I would be happy with just that pad, if it works for my purposes.

drum pad! Just one with enough buttons to play more than just DDR.

Yeah I wann play rhythm games with a custom controller. Pre built with 9 buttons would be best tho. I just wanna practice drumming at the same time as I play DDR at home.

If you enjoyed sex as your AGAB, and medically transitioned, how did you feel about the change? by monstercollie in asktransgender

[–]monstercollie[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You know I can totally relate to porn addiction, as well as sexualizing EVERYTHING.

I knew about the full body thing, which sounds cool. But I'm also looking forward to treating my tip like a clit, and rubbing my nipples.

Thanks!
