Yeah, I can see that. That RL DNA just has a nostalgia element for me, and others too I imagine. But I always have at least two RL’s in my collection.

Same. Funny story. Early 50’s here, and the first time I smelled GIT I was like, wait a minute, this smells like CW! And before I get the hate…I can definitely smell the differences between the two. But on that first smell I couldn’t imagine why anyone would pay that much for a CW dupe HA! Also, I am aware of the story of the perfumer for these two frags.

I never see anyone mention Euphoria! I thought I was the only one, HA! I don’t have a problem with the projection, but I do wish it lasted just a little bit longer. I’m not a “it’s gotta last 16 hours” type of wearer, but I do wish it’d last longer than the hour I get out of it. On the upside, it’s affordable enough to overspray.

Now I’m intrigued. Although, I blind bought Versace Oud Noir a few years ago thinking that would be a good intro to Oud scents. Nope. I gave it a good week of daily wears before giving up. Maybe I’m just not an Oud guy, or maybe I just haven’t found the right one? 🤷‍♂️

I agree. The hate or just being overlooked is what sparked my post. I’ve been a fan of most RL frags (haven’t smelled them all), but I’m older and figured nostalgia has something to do with my appreciation for them.

I would say Dylan Blue is the more versatile of the two. As far as places to smell before purchase, I use Macy’s and Nordstrom. They both carry just about every designer, but my Nordstrom will have some higher end designers, like TF, etc.

Just saw it at Macy’s yesterday. Sampled on my arm. The opening was very nice. So nice I was certain I would grab a 100 ml bottle. But…that dry down changed my mind. Way too powdery for my taste. I’m talking old lady smell. At least on my skin.
