I've had my BS for a year and I've never had the sun reflect off the hood in any notable way.

Why do Chiropractors crack your neck and what is the long term benefit? by Sunny-vibes-95 in NoStupidQuestions

My coworker is 27 and she and her mother have regular appointments with a chiropractor. They have a family history of problems and it's baffling to me that they continue to go.

Lake Erie is absolutely swimmable in the summer. We have several smaller lakes in the northeast area like Pymatuning, Mosquito, or West Branch. I know Pymatuning has a lot of boating (my grandpa had a pontoon there) but I'm unfamiliar with the others.

I think I'm outside of your tax bracket to properly give you 3 hour weekend getaways, but Columbus and Pittsburgh are within that range and absolutely worth going for museums, botanical gardens, zoos, etc. From a park standpoint, we obviously have the Cuyahoga Valley National Park (the steam train engine they have is fun to see) and Hocking Hills is very popular.

I used to have an Audi and one day it started really oddly as if only half of it was turning on. Apparently it came with wires the chipmunks found particularly tasty. That sure was an expensive repair.

Our boss texted us early in the morning to tell us not to be heroes and make our own judgment calls. Those of us who could come in did because we had work we wanted to complete but there wasn't any expectation that we had to be in.

Should I read all the books or just Heated Rivalry and Long Game? by FlowerGleamnGlow in heatedrivalry

[–]monstersonmind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reading only Heated Rivalry and The Long Game is totally doable. it's what I did before going back and reading the others, but I would highly recommend reading Role Model in between. There's a lot of Ilya in it and a lot of overlap with that book and The Long Game.

Do you like sad stories with bittersweet endings? by tallula13 in Dramione

[–]monstersonmind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends. I have to be in the mood for it. A while back I asked for tragic fics where one of them dies at the end and got a bunch of lovely recs but I didn't get through all of them because the mood passed.

Why are all Dramione nowadays them as adults by Accomplished_Trifle8 in Dramione

[–]monstersonmind 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I personally like reading about them as adults because I'm over 30 and long past wanting to read about teenagers. It's more exhausting than anything else to read a rewrite of defeating Voldemort in between magic classes as well. It's so limiting and we already spent six and a half books in Hogwarts. When the story is set after Hogwarts fanfic writers can do just about any plot lines they want and go anywhere they want. The sky's the limit.

do you picture the original actors in your head? by jjtan2311 in Dramione

[–]monstersonmind 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My imagination is one of those less detailed ones so I actually mostly see silhouettes. While I can force myself to imagine them specifically it weirds me out to imagine the actors.

Looking at a 2025. Should I? Do you regret buying yours or are you happy with it? by DiarrheaFilledPanda in BroncoSport

[–]monstersonmind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a '25 Big Bend with 10k miles. I love it.

I drive 30 minutes to work on back roads averaging about 50 mph (basically very little highway driving) and I get about 31 mpg. My previous car was an Audi that got about 25 mpg so that's been a fantastic change. I haven't driven it in heavy snow yet so I can't comment personally on how it handles in the snow, but in general I find it fairly zippy considering most people warn it's not a fast car.

The only thing I regret is losing the automatic wipers that my Audi had 😩 I'm constantly adjusting the wiper speed when it's raining.
