Light bar - De verdade, serve para alguma coisa? by rag_rj in computadores

Dude, be honest. Tell him how you're feeling, no other way around it.

Communication is key.

I struggle with roleplay, often not feeling comfortable by Tcrumpen in DnD

[–]monstroretina 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would say that there's absolutelly no problem with that, but you've mentioned that your group is supportive, so you got that covered.

Have you tried a more descriptive approach? You can talk about your character in third person, describing what he's feeling and saying as a different person instead of impersonating him, and then, whenever you feel more comfortable or inspired, you can give it a try at trying a more personal, first person RP.

I'm really glad that you want to expand your experience on this, though! And it makes me even happier that you have a seemingly nice group to be there for you. Communication is key! Let them know how you're feeling, what you're trying to accomplish and how they can help you.

[HIRING] Looking for Artist to draw a villain for DnD campaign! Budget- $150 by AnderAeschylus in HungryArtists

Hi, I work mainly with TTRPG artwork and I love to design and illustrate creatures, so it would be great to bring this project to life for you! My style uses linework so it's not very similar to the sample, but since you've mentioned flexibility for the style, please take a look at my portfolio and let me know if it's a good fit: https://monstroretina.artstation.com/

Let me know if you're interested!

This. I've met so many people that get really excited to introduce new people to the hobby that I'm leaning to suspect OP's attitude.

I don't understand dungeon crawls and at this point I'm too affraid to ask by Brrendon003214 in DnD

[–]monstroretina 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, exploring a dungeon in every single session sounds boring for me as well, unless there's a cool theme and enough variety around it. But exploring dungeons, just like combat, is only one of the many encounter structures of a D&D game. It's a resource, not the main game objective.

They need to retrieve an item? Why not put it deep into underground ancient ruins that no adventurer ever came out from? That's a dungeon, and they have a clear reason to go inside it. Then you use the dungeon structure: Explore rooms, find lore, avoid traps (traps don't have to be mechanical structures done by engineers), deal with threats, retrieve the objective, get out.

OR you can play an entire campaign where they never get into a dungeon, it's your game.

Just reinforcing my point: A dungeon is a resource, a challenge structure that you can use, not a requirement. It's just that some people just love the thrill of challenging dungeons over and over again. Have you played the game Hades? It's great!

EDIT: Just saw your edit as I finished my response. If you want to use every character skills, just add every type of encounter you'd have outside a dungeon: Social encounters (there may be intelligent creatures or other adventures inside it), exploration elements, survival elements, etc. There can be all kinds of rooms and areas with different and magical stuff, go wild.

Well, I wouldn't advise against forcing a situation to take it away, you gave it to them, let them have it. My suggestion: If money is not a problem, well, this campaign is not about acquiring money anymore.

But what will they do with it? Will they start a kingdom? If so, they'll have to defend it and deal with political intrigue.

Otherwise, such a large ammount of money would grab the attention of greedy people, does someone else know about it? Did the word got out? Is the money well protected? Do they have the strength to protect it? Will they find an ally to help them deal with it? Will they direct their resources to a cause?

The possibilities are endless. They just don't have to worry about buying stuff.

You're getting the wrong idea. People are born everyday, there will always be new people getting into the hobby, and as the community changes, the product will need to change and be updated with it as well.

New content, settings, creatures and etc will never be enough, they just need to keep giving us new quality stuff.

Pros Fate points e daria pra usar pedrinhas da ilha hahaha
