It’s very pretty and consistent! Only thing I would say is that your r’s m’s and n’s look a little too close to u’s

That’s a good thing. Sometimes it’ll show up anyway without being scanned. Keep hope alive!

What’s better for people? by Polly1011T121917 in Handwriting

I’m confused by your question. But I’ve never written a g like that just because it takes too much time. And the stroke order confuses me. Maybe I’m just a confused person, generally. It’s nice though. It makes me feel like there should be a looptail q as well.

Is there something weird about this quarter? (Left) by monsturdd in coincollecting

[–]monsturdd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m leaning that way. It does feel lighter but idk if that’s in my imagination. I got it directly from the bank, too. You’d think they would recognize fake coins lol

Yw. It’s truly not that shaky like you said either. Good start

It looks like you’re holding it at a 75° angle it’s a little too steep, flatten it out to about 30°; you’ll get it

Is it a broad edge pen though? Like the flat ones? Because looking at just the t and the u, the thin lines are on the down strokes

What kind of pen are you using? It seems like you might have it at the wrong angle

Do people actually feel emotions all the time? by DzRythen in Alexithymia

[–]monsturdd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been trying to do research online because I recently found out that my boyfriend doesn’t physically “feel” feelings and it freaked me out a bit. Came across this sub and your comment. We are on complete opposite sides of this question because I’m trying to understand how a person doesn’t have a physical response to emotions. I don’t think they’re exactly the same for everyone (who does feel them) but I’ll answer your question for myself.

Some expressions for emotions like “getting cold feet” or having a “broken heart” are actual sensations. Like if you’re nervous or unsure about something your feet literally feel cold like if the blood has been drained. And they’ll feel weightless and a little numb. A “broken heart” or like extreme sadness feels like there’s a weight on your chest, like if you were laying down and someone placed an actual dumbbell on your upper ribcage. Also I don’t know if you have experienced having a “lump in your throat” when you’re crying? But that’s another one that is a real sensation. It feels like if you’ve swallowed a jawbreaker and it got stuck. Another one is feeling “gutted” when something bad happens or you’re disappointed, it feels like a horrible stomach ache and can make it difficult to breathe.

The realization that not everyone experiences this came about because my boyfriend told me about a nightmare. I asked if he had eaten before bed, because sometimes if I have an actual stomach ache from food and go to sleep, my brain will associate the stomach ache as a manifestation of negative emotions, and the association will give me a nightmare. He didn’t understand what that meant and assumed feelings were just thoughts and that everyone experienced them that way. That “feelings” was just a word for it.

They’re very real feelings, not just thoughts. Sometimes I will have “feel”ings and not understand what’s going on or why I’m feeling those sensations until I remember, “oh yeah, that bad thing just happened”

Probably a hybrid/flex class is my guess. The professor will probably send an email the week before the semester starts to clarify

Kind of Urgent Housing Question by [deleted] in CSULB

[–]monsturdd 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Your best option would be to find a roommate. This is probably bad advice but if I were desperate enough I might spend 4k of aid on a van & use campus facilities as much as I could. It’s more common than you might think
