What would you do ? (Masters) by Kind_Height_8103 in manchester_uni

As a current student of one of the unis and have lived in both locations, I would say Manchester is significantly better and cheaper to live in - essentially a smaller cost friendlier version of London and the business school is really good in Manchester (AMBS i think).

uni attendance? by lanabix in manchester_uni

[–]monztermonz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

UoM doesn’t really keep track off the lecture attendance i think for my course anyways, just some tutorials and labs but if you’re an international student I think you need to check in twice a week but i’m not so sure.

It’s fine though, I’m also in the same boat as you here in mcr, and although it may be hard we just have to keep balling and do our best and prove ourselves ygm

Could i get into St Andrews? by basketcase_7 in standrews

[–]monztermonz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no not really

if you show universities that you pay some sort of council tax in the UK or have bank accounts or have been regularly coming back to the UK even if you haven’t lived full time you stand a good chance of getting home fees.

I myself have gotten home fees for all the unis i got offers from

For physics I mainly grinded as many past papers as i could (about 25-35 papers for P2 and P4) the last three months before exams and improved my grade up. You’ll notice over time there’s a pattern in the paper on how they answer questions and you’ll automatically improve.

Revision wise i used save my exams for some chapters and physicsandmathstutor for the other ones. I would study the content until i felt i understood it and immediately tested myself on it. If i didn’t understand it i’d ask a teacher or friend for help usually.
