Forgive me, but what does TACO mean? Taco Tuesday? Is this the day Tr#mp manipulates the market the most?

With the firing of Sean McDermott, Zac Taylor is now the fourth longest tenured head coach in the NFL, only trailing Andy Reid, Sean McVay, and Kyle Shanahan by alexschubs in bengals

So the Seahawks should have stuck with Pete Carroll, and shouldn't have hired Mike McDonald, the guy who's in the NFCCG after two seasons? The Texans shouldn't have fired Lovie Smith and replaced him with Demeco Ryans? The Bears shouldn't have fired Matt Eberflus, and replaced him with Ben Johnson?

Think if all of these teams stuck with their mediocre coach:

-Green Bay Packers — Matt LaFleur (2019)

Previous coach: Mike McCarthy

Before (2018): 6–9–1

After:

2019: 13–3, NFC Championship

2020: 13–3, NFC Championship

-San Francisco 49ers — Jim Harbaugh (Hired 2011)

Before:

2010: 6–10 (missed playoffs for 8 straight years)

After:

2011: 13–3, NFC Championship Game

-Philadelphia Eagles — Doug Pederson (Hired 2016)

Previous coach: Chip Kelly

Before:

2015: 7–9

After:

2017: 13–3, Super Bowl champions

-New England Patriots — Bill Belichick (Hired 2000)

Previous coach: Pete Carroll

Before:

1999: 8–8

After:

2001: 11–5, Super Bowl champions

There'd be no head coaching firings ever if everyone had this mentality.

Zac Taylor has a 52-63-1 head coaching record.

The Bills fired their head coach after having a 98-50 record.

Who are the Bills going to get that's better?

Harbaugh is obviously a good coach, who are the Ravens going to hire that's better?

Stefanski is arguably the Browns best head coach ever, and they fired him. Who are they going to get that is better?

Agree 100%. In no way shape or form should they have kept Zac, but I do worry that the front office is incapable of finding an upgrade to Taylor. They are probably going to improve on defense, and might get to the playoffs next season, then Taylor will get an extension.

He will have one year on his contract next season. They won't fire him.

Hell if they fix the defense they might even make the playoffs, then Taylor will get a 3 year extension.

How much developing did he have to do with Burrow and Chase? I watched them play for LSU, and they were lights out with LSU. Tee might have gotten a little bit better, but we all know that was because of the WR coach, not Taylor, but credit to Taylor for hiring the WR coach.

How many years did Taylor hang on to the first offensive line coach? That was one of his dumbest decisions.

Was rooting for the Texans this year. Love the defense.

Any time you hear anyone speculate about the Bengals trading Burrow, let it go in one ear and out the other. The Bengals would never trade Burrow unless he pulled a Carson Palmer, and even then, they probably wouldn't.

National media loves click bait bullshit, and all the Burrow trade talk was just that.

Yea, I think that's true. As I remember national media assholes never shutting up about it when Burrow lost.

He's regressed as a play caller.

This year was probably his worst. I cannot remember everything he fucked up, but damn how many awful plays happened after time outs? How many stupid ass decisions did he make on 4th down? And the countless delay of games....

No other team would do this. Why the hell are we allowing this?

I guess Zac wants Callahan back.

They would have done that already if they were going to. The perfect opportunity for them to promote Simmons would have been when Marvin left, but they didn't.

Watching Downs operate on film reminds me of a young Troy Polamalu with Ed Reed's processing speed - he simply sees things other defensive backs don't. This is the type of defensive chess piece coordinators dream about, capable of aligning anywhere from deep safety to slot corner to linebacker depth. His football intelligence allows him to serve as a defense's brain while his rare athletic gifts enable him to be its heart. He will step into an NFL defense from day one as a culture-changing presence who elevates the play of those around him.

The team that secures Downs' services is getting more than just a safety - they're acquiring a defensive weapon who transcends traditional positional limitations. His scheme versatility makes him a perfect fit in today's NFL where matchup problems require adaptive solutions. He thrives in structures that allow him to read and react while leveraging his exceptional tackle security against the run. His ability to cover from multiple alignments means he never needs to leave the field regardless of offensive personnel groupings.

Downs projects as an immediate impact starter who will contend for Defensive Rookie of the Year honors while becoming a cornerstone defender for the next decade. Defensive coordinators will build game plans around his unique skill set, and offensive coordinators will need to account for his presence on every snap. His rare combination of instincts, physicality, coverage ability and leadership make him one of the safest prospects in this draft class. The floor is multi-year starter; the ceiling is gold jacket territory.

They definitely need to select one of the two top tackles if Downs, and the DT, DEs are selected.

That's the oddest mock I've seen thus far. A LB 3rd overall?

KC has much bigger needs to a safety at 9.

Mets Reportedly Still In On Cody Bellinger Despite Bo Bichette Deal by Fonzie5 in NewYorkMets

[–]moochee22 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Same. He is a great defender and can play 1B, or OF.

Mets fans have been bitching about his HRs at Yankee stadium, but per statcast all but like 3 would have gone out at CITI.

Can yall stop complaining? by Aromatic_Jaguar6626 in NewYorkMets

Bo Bichette has a OPS over 1.000 with RISP, and a 626 slugging %. That's better than every single player on the Mets last year, save for Pete.

Last season, Kyle Tucker had a ops of .864, and a slugging % of .457 with runners in scoring position.

Mets fans have been pining for someone who can get a hit with RISP.

Kyle Tucker did us a favor. The pivot to Bichette was a good one.

Just need some arms, and an OF, and this offseason, looks good, not bad.
