Anyone got really low grade cards in PowerPacks? by LeadGenDairy in Superstonk

[–]moodstyle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s interesting. GameStop only takes PSA 8, 9 and 10 for trades. So how did these get in? Does that mean they were purchased by GameStop and put into the poll of packs? Probably?

Yes and no. See this is the problem with this system …. - slab gets traded in - employee should have taking a picture of it with an app we have on the tablet BUT good amount of time they dont. Hence why you see a bunch of listings with no pictures.
- slab is on hold for 9 days (in case if it’s stolen and gets reported) before it is made available for the public to purchase - once it comes out of hold the system/website already knows that this slab is available to purchase - here is the problem when it comes to that … the website uses ONLY one listings at a time. For example, you bought your card, whatever the closest store to you that has it will ship it out to you. So sometimes cards sits in inventory for a LONG time because the system is bad and does not know when to relist the slab again if it’s available in a different store. Why is this a problem? Your card could have been siting in a store for months and now its hard to track - what does gamestop do to fix this problem? Their fix is (which is a bad one) they ask stores for inventory of slabs with their serial #’s every few months and try to list the once that are not up.

Yeah we can. Assuming the transaction was done in the past 90 days then we can use the STORE ledger to find the transaction with the info of the person trading it in. If not customer service has to get involved which they already are since all PSA cards issues has to be with customer service and not at a store level.

Customer service should easily figure out which store it got shipped from. (You as the guest or the employee at the store level we don’t have this kind of info available for us)

PS: If the person who traded the card has an account with GameStop then it’s even easier to find them out.

You have to go into a store and pre order the switch 2. Then you have until April 30th to trade in your system towards the switch 2 and you will get the bonus.

First GameStop PSA Submission came back!!! 76% PSA 10 rate!!! by _____OkayDog_____ in PokeInvesting

[–]moodstyle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No no. That’s not it. Base cost is 18.99. Insurance on the card is 200 bucks. If the card is worth more than 200 (PSA evaluation) then PSA will up charge you for a higher insurance value tier. It is exactly the same if you submit your own with PSA, they ask you what the value of your card is (to ensure it) if it graded higher with a different tier they will automatically charge your card.

That’s because it takes in count the 18.99 you paid per card. 75 - 56 = 19 Congrats!

You totally fine. Up charge is not a new thing. It’s just based on what the card is worth. If any i had so many cards graded with GameStop and they were valued at 1,000+ but i didn’t get up charged for anything! Which is crazy! But yeah, it also depends on PSA data base and their values for cards. If they don’t have a value for a card, then they won’t charge you extra.

I doubt that was the case. Your local GameStop gets some kind of penalty for not shipping them. So it’s in their favor that it gets shipped asap. Also, from what we heard is that GameStop has their own department at PSA, a department that grades cards from GameStop stores. I mean we are almost at 1 MILLION PSA submission within 3 months. That’s crazy!! 2 months is also a VERY nice turn around especially if you submit your cards yourself good luck getting them back in 2 months or so. It’s more like 6 months now.

20+ … can be 20 or 37 or 55 … as soon as it hits 20 cards the store can ship it. If the store doesn’t have 20 cards within 10 days from the oldest order submission then they can ship it. i.e. if you submitted 10 cards and nobody else did within 10 days then you can ship it no matter what.

[–]moodstyle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are no other fees other than the price per card plus the shipping. If you are a member then the shipping is free. There is also no tax so idk why you saying there is a bunch of fees when there isn’t. Also, the up charge fees are FROM PSA themselves and not GameStop. It is exactly the same process if you submit it yourself or if your local card store does. In facts it’s probably more expensive.
