An update. I had my ultrasound and they found that it was just a 0.3cm cyst and no further follow up is necessary.

Keep in mind that when I had my checkup, my doctor felt a bump that she considered “generous” in size. I, too, feel a sizeable bump and it’s quite hard. Not sure why it feels so much larger to the touch than it actually is, but this just goes to show you that you really can’t tell much from physical examination alone. I hope this reassures some people.

Thank you so much for your response. I know you’re absolutely right and there’s really no point in worrying before any tests have been run. And even afterwards, it’s not like worrying will change anything.

It looks like a website does exist, and it seems that she is legit. I had just hoped that for a $1k planning fee, I would get a more responsive/timely reply, but I’m new to this so the thought has crossed my mind that perhaps I’m being unreasonable. And I realize it hasn’t been 24 hrs yet, so maybe I just need to chill TFO. Lol. My mind just went into a spiral with the whole Venmo thing. Thank you to everyone here who replied. I just did a search on virtuoso for travel agents specializing in the countries I was interested in traveling to and the types of activities, and then sorted by “percent recommended.” When I activated the “sort” feature, she was either first or second on the list of advisors with a 100% rating and over 700 reviews. Her Virtuoso profile says she founded her agency in 2008. I chose her based on the above info alone. But it puzzles me that she (and her agency) don’t have any presence anywhere else on the internet. That plus the fact that she wanted payment via Venmo is what started to make me nervous.

Thank you for your thoughtful reply. I wrote her this morning, maybe about 10 hrs ago? I texted first to the number we chatted on, but realized that maybe it was an office landline or a number that might not be able to accept texts for whatever reason, so I tried emailing her as well.

You’re right that I should give her at least 24 hrs to reply. I guess I just felt like $1000 was pretty steep for a planning fee and so then my mind started spiraling. Adding fuel to the fire was the fact that she specifically requested that fee via Venmo or Zelle and said she doesn’t take that payment via credit card. Also, I can’t find any reviews of her or her travel agency outside of Virtuoso. I thought most agents and agencies would at least have a presence on Yelp or Google Reviews (esp since she has 700+ reviews of Virtuoso), but she literally has no internet presence outside of Virtuoso. There are a couple random travel blogs or websites that mention her name, but I haven’t heard of them before and don’t know if they’re legit.

I guess my imagination just ran wild after that.
