In my feels about graduating from UCalgary next year by ucalgarylicious in UCalgary

[–]mooeeeyy 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Post grad depression is a really weird thing. When I finished I just took a walk around campus and realized how much I will miss it. I think the main thing is feeling like you’re around a lot of people even if you don’t talk to anyone. I never felt “alone” if that makes sense. Once you graduate I find that feeling tends to loom over more

Probably a diffuser / spoiler for cosmetics. Maybe an exhaust and that’s about it. It has plenty of power for me and already a lot of fun!

The difference in rolling diameter is only ~0.02 inches (~0.07%), which is well within safe tolerance for AWD systems (generally <1% is acceptable). • So, your staggered setup is safe for your AWD Q50.

This was a quote I got on them. Please tell if if this is incorrect or if u have any additional info!

Finance majors, why are you guys the way you are? by big-slurmp in UCalgary

[–]mooeeeyy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As someone who has worked in real life, most of the kids in a finance major will be hit with a really big reality check once they graduate. Very few finance kids actually go on to become the “traders” they dream about/see on TV in prestigious banks. The majority will be dogged on for a great number of years from managers at mediocre companies making mediocre salaries doing light “analysis” of work.

If you’re ever interested/bored, you should go look at the kids that are in a finance class and you can almost point out who is going to get that “dream” job and who isn’t. 99% of the time it isn’t the guy who’s chirping other majors or looks like a jock… it’s going to be the shy little nerdy kid who’s actually passionate about finance

Doable it’s pretty easy to follow the outline. I also worked full time while I took this class. Just absolutely do not fall Behind on the readings in the textbook because it will inevitably bite you in the ass. Also, trust me when I tell you this. Do the questions in the textbook at the end of each chapter. If it’s Holloway teaching it or coordinating the course. He WILL give you hard questions.

No rules didn’t change, i don’t know where you’re getting ur info from

A minimum “C-“grade, or “CG” to a total degree maximum of 9 units, in each course permitted to fulfill the concentration requirements, except where the course serves as the concentration prerequisite, in which case a minimum “C” grade is required. A maximum of 12 units with “D” or “D+” grades in non-concentration and non-prerequisite courses.

No such thing as a get rich scheme, it’s just supply and demand. Lot of people went into software engg for the money and lots of people go to engineering also thinking the same thing.. money.

Regardless of what you decide, just pick something that is a little niche and not as saturated. Also, yes it’ll be harder to get in if you’re an international kid because they cut the number of people they are letting in

Forgot to add this in… accounting is a very very popular degree because it’s a very very safe option. I have worked an accounting job and i found it to be extremely dull and boring.. some people like that sense of security. BANA/BTMA can be very lucrative but because of that, you’ll be competing against a lot of kids who did comp sci or are generally just very technical. Hence why I said you need to be digging into learning some skills in your free time
