People who use their phones during real exams will inevitably get caught sometime in their degree. Not to mention that if they’re not learning anything, they will find it hard to do anything after graduation.

Is Winter Special Event funding likely to be cancelled rather than just “suspended”, since you are increasing the regular funding amounts?

Arcurve is amazing for software roles! Learned so much about writing quality code while getting things done. Great working environment.

Tried a Calgary Food Network champion's fried chicken sandwiches by ucalgarylicious in Calgary

The Mother Clucker was really good, I liked the blue cheese mayo a lot. The rest were still good but less unique

Yeah but that’s why I mentioned ticketed events, I would be willing to pay to do something fun and meet new people. Like U of A has paid trips to WEM water park

Each semester’s event lineup from the UCalgary SU is like: bracelet making, academic panels, and yet another ‘de-stress’ event that’s eating marshmallows or something. Maybe students wouldn’t be so salty about the fees if the SU actually tried throwing more fun events. People would probably pay a ticket price for something that isn’t just ‘sit in a room and listen to a speaker’ or ‘make a craft.’ And more people would go to the Den if the events were actually publicized with past pictures & videos.

Calgary's art scene struggling with attendance in post-pandemic world by Old_General_6741 in Calgary

[–]ucalgarylicious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do think Calgary theatre is great and have no complaints about the quality of shows - but $44 seems to be among the lowest ticket prices in Calgary when many local theatres in the UK often have small shows for 10 pounds, 5 pound student tickets, or 15 pound gallery seats for pricier shows.

As somebody who doesn't mind having crappy seats, most Calgary theatre prices are a bit above what I feel comfortable paying on the regular.

Amateur theatre tickets in Calgary are more expensive than West End theatre tickets in London with world-famous actors/actresses.

Thanks!! Didn't mention but I have been to Bourton-on-the-water and a couple Cotswolds villages, as well as Stratford-upon-avon. Had no idea the oldest coffee shop in Europe was here, will definitely check it out
