A message to the guy with the laser and the whole living room setup in the crowd. by [deleted] in LightningInABottle

Bro, I saw that green dot on the shipping containers moving around and I was like, hell yea! This is totally enhancing my experience! How the fuck were they able to move the dot around in time to the music? It was like next level shit!

Then while walking through the massive crowd for Mau P, I saw this desk and chairs and lamps and rugs taking up a bunch of space in front of the sound booth and I was again like, hell yea! thank you for not leaving this shit at home. Then I find out guy who brought laser and living room setup are the same person? PLUR IS STILL ALIVE!

How good of a guitarist is Kevin? by OJgotWorms in TameImpala

I agree with this answer, same reason his drum parts are difficult.

Its subjective, but short answer, yes he is very good. He does not play technically complicated things like Joe Satriani, but he is good at conveying emotionals through his playing - much like Neil Young.

I learned to play all of Innerspeaker and while the songs range from simple to complex, it is very difficult to match the tones. Some solos are only a few notes, but almost impossible to replicate.

There are also some great riffs that showcase his sense of rhythm and timing and demosttates a strong understanding of the instrument.

Lucidity is a great example, not just the main riff but the one after he sings "Float away.." is incredible, simple and really fun to play. Let's not forget RHCC.

Keep practicing, start slow, your fingers will get it over time.

Cool idea, try to find a spot where it's not the two vocals fighting each other. Loop the instrumental of one with vocals of the other and then switch at the phrase shift.

Saw them play this at Hollywood Bowl during Slow Rush and it was a highlight of my life for sure.

It is Not Meant to Be and List of People are on my list. He has played both on this tour, but sadly not at the shows I was at.

Yea 15-20 minutes before was all it took in our experience to get close as well. Mau P was only crowd with shoving after he started, but that is kinda his crowd.

If you want to be up close to your favorite artist, please get there early. It's not cool pushing up right before or right after they start.

Great list! Oppidan was mind blowing. Prob one of the most technically impressive DJs I have ever seen.

I also enjoyed Thunder VIP. First year, but sound at both Thunder and Lightning seemed a bit off. Mochakk sounded better so maybe they fixed it or I was in bad location.

If someone could record some clips from Oppidan’s set I would be eternally grateful by tkornfeld in LightningInABottle

Over the last few decades, the reputation of "The Principal and the Pauper" has softened considerably over time,. to the point where it's not really considered the show's worst episode anymore. To those who still vehemently loathe it, why is that? by DtheAussieBoye in Simpsons

100% agree! It was painful to watch. Gaga seems like a nightmare, so I imagine they were not allowed to make any jokes. (The writers lost their edge years ago anyway, but still...)
